During Wednesday’s State of Play, PlayStation revealed Deathverse: Let It Die, a brand new game set in the world of GungHo’s Let It Die.

According to the brief trailer for the game, Deathverse: Let It Die will be a survival battle arena game, where players will face off against one another as well as other enemies in PvPvE combat. You can check out the new trailer for the game below:
During the game, players will take on the role of contestants that are thrown onto an island and must fight in the most stylish way possible. Throughout a match, players will also have to be on the lookout for Hunters who join the battle to try and cause as much chaos as possible. Some features of the upcoming game include:
- Transform into all kinds of weapons, like hammers, knives, katanas, and more to batter and break your competitors
- Deploy protective shields to stop attackers in their tracks
- Fire electric bullets to stun enemies
- Activate any number of skills that you can customize to suit your playstyle
- As you progress through the game, you can upgrade your Wilson and unlock even more ways to slay and increase your odds of survival
“Players take the stage in the world’s most popular survival reality TV show, set hundreds of years after the events of Let It Die,” reads the official description of the game, courtesy of GungHo Online Entertainment. “Armed with a robotic combat tool equipped with many deadly features, each player can use a variety of weapons, protective shields, and skills to create a character who can outlive the competition. They’ll also have to fend off monsters and assassins to stay alive in this gloriously gory arena.

Deathverse: Let It Die is set to launch on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 in 2022.
