Netflix has shared the official Bad Thoughts trailer for its newest dark comedy, which hails from comedian and actor Tom Segura. He has previously appeared in 2018’s comedy drama Instant Family, 2019’s horror movie Countdown, and 2020’s Cedric the Entertainer movie The Opening Act. The series is scheduled to start streaming on May 13, 2025.
“In this six-episode dark comedic series, Tom Segura navigates unthinkable situations and fantasies within a cinematic world,” reads the logline.
The video highlights six different stories, featuring Segura in crazy situations as he lets his intrusive thoughts win. This marks the stand-up comedian’s first scripted comedy series with Netflix. He has been collaborating with the streamer for over a decade for his comedy specials, including 2014’s Completely Normal, 2016’s Mostly Stories, 2018’s Disgraceful, 2020’s Ball Hog, and 2023’s Sledgehammer.
Bad Thoughts is created, directed, and executive produced by Segura. When the project was first announced, it was described as Black Mirror meets Chappell’s Show, featuring Segura in different kinds of scenarios. Top Gun: Maverick star Miles Teller has officially signed on for one of the leading roles in Paramount Pictures‘ upcoming sports romance drama titled, Winter Games, which will take place during the Winter Olympic Games. In addition to starring, Teller is also expected to serve as a producer.
The movie will be directed by Paul Downs Colaizzo, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Pat Cunnane. Tim and Trevor White are producing through their production banner Star Thrower. Matt Johnson, known for directing 2023’s BlackBerry, is working on a biopic about Bourdain for A24. Production on the movie is expected to begin next month.
Per Variety, Banderas has signed on to play an undisclosed role in the film.
Meanwhile, it has now been confirmed that The Holdover’s Dominic Sessa will play the Bourdain in the film. Sessa was previously reported to be in talks for the role last summer, though there’s been little news about the project since then.

CBS has officially canceled the sitcom Poppa’s House and the reality competition show The Summit after one season. Both shows made their respective series debuts in 2024.
While The Summit has already wrapped up its 10-episode run last December, the series finale episode of Poppa’s House is still scheduled to air next week on Monday, April 28. The sitcom is led by Damon Wayans and Damon Wayans Jr., with the former also serving as its creator and executive producer. It centers around a legendary talk radio host and his adult son who is trying to pursue his passion while being a responsible father and husband. As for The Summit, the reality show was hosted by Manu Bennett, with Kevin Lee, Michael Heyerman, Sharon Levy, and Tina Nicotera executive producing. It featured sixteen strangers embarking on a 14-day trek through the perilous New Zealand Alps to reach a distant peak.

In addition to the cancellation news, CBS has also ordered two new shows in the form of the workplace drama DMV and the police procedural drama Einstein. The new comedy series will be led by Harriett Dyer, Tim Meadows, Molly Kearney and Alex Tarrant. Disney Plus’ new TV and movie release schedule for April 21 – 27, 2025, includes Secrets of the Penguins Season 1, ABC News Live Special: Last Lands Season 1, Andor Season 2, and Doctor Who Season 2 Episode 3, to name a few.
On 21st April, Secrets of the Penguins Season 1 drops on Disney Plus. It will have a total of three episodes. The documentary series explores the lives of the charming penguins in remote regions. Also, every episode is bound to leave viewers with exciting facts about the aquatic birds.
Further, ABC News Live Special: Last Lands Season 1 will be available on the streaming platform. It will have a total of four episodes. The news show focuses on the importance of protecting some of the most treasured lands of the world.
Also coming out on the platform is Andor Season 2. It will premiere with a total of three episodes. Moreover, Season 2 focuses on Cassian’s prominent role in the Rebel Alliance, with the war drawing near. Further, bonds will be tested with the sacrifices, betrayals, and conflicts coming into the limelight.
Additionally, Doctor Who Season 2 Episode 3 premieres on the streaming platform this week. In the new season, the doctor is accompanied by a new partner named Belinda Chandra, whom he tries to help return to Earth. However, the duo realizes they are being stopped by a mysterious force.

When does the Star Wars Outlaws DLC and Switch 2 port release?
During Star Wars Celebration, Ubisoft announced the Star Wars Outlaws DLC, titled A Pirate’s Fortune, is coming to Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and PC via Ubisoft Store, Epic Games Store, and Steam on May 15. Additionally, the game will be coming to the Nintendo Switch 2 on September 4.
Star Wars Outlaws: A Pirate’s Fortune is available at no extra cost for Season Pass owners. It will be available as a separate purchase for $14.99. Additionally, Ultimate and Deluxe Edition owners will get the Naboo Nobility and Desert Nomad cosmetic packs when the DLC launches.
It should be noted that players must complete the main story of Star Wars Outlaws to play the A Pirate’s Fortune DLC.
“Star Wars Outlaws: A Pirate’s Fortune takes players on an adventure with pirates and lost treasures,” reads the DLC’s description. “Kay Vess and Nix will team up with Hondo Ohnaka as they face off against Stinger Tash and her Rokana Raiders, infiltrating the Khepi Tomb to uncover the secrets and hidden treasures it holds. Along the way, they’ll discover the Miyuki Trade League who offer new rewards for the Trailblazer in exchange for smuggling dangerous goods across the galaxy.”
A title update will deploy along with the release of the Star Wars Outlaws DLC. As part of the patch, players will be gifted a cosmetic for Nix and a speeder that is based on the Disney+ show Star Wars: Skeleton Crew. After installing the update, the gift will be available in the delivery crate on the Trailblazer.

Zoë Kravitz has found her next directorial project, with Deadline reporting that she’s in talks to direct a new film for Sony Pictures.
What is Zoë Kravitz and Robert Pattinson’s new movie?
Kravitz is currently in talks to direct How to Save a Marriage, a film that is mostly being kept under wraps. Deadline’s report notes that Kravitz’s The Batman co-star Robert Pattinson will be involved, though. As of now, however, Pattinson is said to only be a producer on the project.
Details of How to Save a Marriage remain unknown as of now, with Deadline’s report saying that the project is still in early development. However, the movie is said to have “edgy undertones” that are similar to that of Blink Twice, Kravitz’s directorial debut.
Deadline’s report also mentions that Sony is “high on the project,” and was aggressive in making sure to secure the rights last year.
Kravitz debuted as a director with 2024’s Blink Twice, which she also co-wrote and produced. Outside of directing, Kravitz is still working as an actress, and will star in Darren Aronofsky’s upcoming crime thriller Caught Stealing.
Prior to Caught Stealing, Kravitz also starred in 2022’s The Batman as Selina Kyle/Catwoman. She’s expected to reprise her role in the film’s sequel, which has yet to begin production.
ComingSoon spoke with Sneaks star Keith David about the new animated movie featuring Anthony Mackie and Martin Lawrence. David spoke about his varied voice acting career, his love of shoes, and more. Directed by Rob Edwards and Chris Jenkins, the film is out in theaters nationwide on April 18. 2025.
“Sneaks follows the adventures of Ty, a misguided designer sneaker who doesn’t know life outside the comforts of his velvet-lined shoe box. After his sister is stolen by a shady collector, Ty must venture into NYC to find and rescue her. In his adventure, Ty meets a rag-tag group of footwear friends from all walks of life who help him find the courage to step outside of his shoe box and find his ‘sole-mate,'” says the synopsis.
Tyler Treese: You’re a legendary actor, and I feel like your voice acting is just as legendary as your live-action work at this point. Gargoyles was my favorite show growing up. I’ve loved you in the Saints Row games and Mass Effect. You’ve just been a constant presence in so much entertainment that I love. What’s been most rewarding about having the second lane where you’ve gotten to really reach different audiences with these vocal performances and play everything from aliens to now shoes?
Keith David: As an actor, I think what I want most is to play a variety of people, characters, and to continue doing it. That’s what we wanna do, is work. Every opportunity I have to go to work is an opportunity to bring a little joy into somebody’s life. It doesn’t matter what the genre is because it doesn’t matter if I’m doing a horror movie or a game or a Shakespearean tragedy, somebody’s gonna get some joy out of it because of getting involved in the story. That’s a great gift to my life. That’s what I get to do.
You’re a true entertainer. In Sneaks, you play the OG Shoe. You get a great introduction with the Converse line. You’re the most respected sneaker in the movie. That has to be a pretty cool role to be approached for because they know you bring that gravitas, and the audience really respects you. So what does it mean for you to get sought out to voice OG for this film?
Again, you know, you know, part of the process many times is auditioning for a part. How wonderful it is when somebody knows your work and invites you to the party. So I was pleased and privileged to be invited to the party and all too happy to participate,
You were in The Princess and The Frog, which is a great movie, and that was co-written by Rob Edwards, who co-directed Sneaks. How special was it getting to reunite with Rob on this film?
Very. It was wonderful. When you get to work with your old friends, it’s a great fit. It’s not work anymore. We get to really play, and that’s what we are here for: to play.
Speaking of fits, I always see you dressed really snazzy in a suit and looking fresh all the time. So, I was curious, are you into the sneaker culture much or how familiar were you with that?
Oh, you know, I mean, we all have our sneakers that we keep up with. I was a great Converse guy. That was my first pair. Then, I remember when the Nike Airs came out, I had me a nice pair of Jordans, and I keep up.
I love that you got to play the Converse shoe then. That all worked out.
Exactly. That was a wonderful thing. Again, a gift.
You previously said it wasn’t likely, but fans are dying to know if there’s any of you appearing in the Community movie?
I don’t know where I was quoted as saying that it’s unlikely because that is a lie. I’ve been told when the movie finally does get picked up to go, that I’ll be invited to the party. It hasn’t yet. I understand it’s going to be, when that happens, then we’ll see. But I have not said that I would not do it.
