Lakeshore Records is set to release the single “Day Ones (Swagger Edition),” performed by rising Houston musician Tobe Nwigwe for the Apple TV+ original series Swagger Season 1, on October 29. ComingSoon is sharing an exclusive look at the track, which you can listen to below!
Produced by his frequent collaborator Nell, the buoyant and inspirational song “Day Ones (Swagger Edition)” appears in Swagger—a new series based on executive producer Kevin Durant’s experiences as a young basketball player. Swagger premieres globally with the first three episodes on Apple TV+ on October 29.
Swagger explores the world of youth basketball, and the players, their families, and coaches who walk the fine line between dreams and ambition, and opportunism and corruption. Off the court, the show reveals what it’s like to grow up in America. The series is led by an ensemble cast including O’Shea Jackson Jr., Isaiah Hill, Shinelle Azoroh, Academy Award-nominee Quvenzhané Wallis, Caleel Harris, James Bingham, Solomon Irama, Ozie Nzeribe, Tessa Ferrer, Tristan Mack Wilds, and Jason Rivera.
The series was created by Reggie Rock Bythewood, who also writes, directs, and serves as showrunner and executive producer alongside Kevin Durant and Brian Grazer. The series is produced for Apple by Thirty Five Ventures, Imagine Television Studios, CBS Studios, and Undisputed Cinema. Also serving as executive producers are Rich Kleiman, Francie Calfo, Samie Kim Falvey, and Samantha Corbin-Miller.
