John Erwin Passes Away, He-Man Voice Actor Was 88

John Erwin has passed away. The He-Man and the Masters of the Universe voice actor was 88.

Erwin died “around Dec. 20” due to natural causes in his home in Camarillo, California, according to his reps at the PR firm Celeborx.

Per The Hollywood Reporter, Erwin was born on December 5, 1936, in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He started his career in entertainment playing various in the television series Citizen Soldier.

Erwin then joined the cast of Rawhide, a western series that co-starred Clint Eastwood, in 1959. About a decade later, Errwin began voicing Morris the Cat in various television commercials.

He began voicing Reggie on The Archie Show in 1968. He continued to voice that character in a number of other related series as well, including Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Archie’s TV Funnies, The U.S. of Archie, The New Archie and Sabrina Hour, and more.

He began voicing the titular character of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe in 1983. He continued to play the character in the She-Ra: Princess of Power series, while he also voiced Beast Man and a number of other characters in various He-Man projects.

“Working with John Erwin was a ballad of irreverence, professionalism, and surprise,” Alan Oppenheimer, who voiced Skeletor on He-Man, said in a statement. “He was a series actor, writer, performer of commercials, musician, painter, and an all-around lovely gentleman, an indelible addition to my life.”

Melendy Britt, the voice of She-Ra in He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, added, “For 40 years, John Erwin was not only my brother onscreen, he was my friend.”

Erwin’s filmography includes 1960’s 13 Fighting Men, 1981’s Looker, 1986’s He-Man and She-Ra: The Secret of the Sword, 1986’s Skeletor’s Revenge, 1988’s Everybody’s All-American, 1989’s Back to the Future Part II, and 1995’s Babe.

Emilia Perez’s Karla Sofía Gascón Issues Apology for Resurfaced Controversial Tweets

Following a litany of past tweets surfacing, Emilia Perez star and Academy Award-nominated actress Karla Sofía Gascón has issued an apology for them in a new statement.

In a recent post on social media (Gascón has since deactivated her X account), Gascón acknowledged the past posts and the hurt they may have caused, and apologized to those that may have felt pain from the tweets.

“I want to acknowledge the conversation around my past social media posts that have caused hurt,” Gascón said. “As someone in a marginalized community, I know this suffering all too well and I am deeply sorry to those I have caused pain. All my life I have fought for a better world. I believe light will always triumph over darkness.”

What did Gascón say in her past tweets?

Over the past couple of days, users found past tweets from Gascón, where the actress commented on the murder of George Floyd in 2020, as well as things like the Muslim population in her native Spain, and even commenting on Christopher Columbus and statues of him being taken down in certain places.

“Let me get this straight, a guy tries to pass off a counterfeit bill after consuming methamphetamine, an idiot policeman arrives and goes too far in arresting him, killing him, ruining the lives of his family and his colleagues, and turning the guy with the bill into a martyr hero,” Gascón wrote in a tweet in 2020 (via THR). “I truly believe that very few people ever cared about George Floyd, a drug addict and a hustler, but his death has served to highlight once again that there are those who still consider Black people to be monkeys without rights and those who consider the police to be murderers. All wrong.”

Gascón also previously mentioned the Muslim population in Spain growing, saying that Islam goes “against European values and violate human rights” and should be banned, and also taking umbrage with the fact that more Muslim people were entering Spain.

“Sorry, is it just my impression or are there more and more Muslims in Spain? Every time I go to pick up my daughter from school there are more women with their hair covered and their skirts down to their heels,” she posted Nov. 23, 2020. “Maybe next year instead of English we’ll have to teach Arabic.”

What happens in the Dark Winds Season 3 trailer?

The video features Joe Leaphorn’s next major case, involving the disappearance of two boys. It teases how this new case will force Joe to confront his dark past in order to confront a monster. The drama also stars Kiowa Gordon (The Red Road, Roswell, New Mexico), Jessica Matten (Rez Ball, Tribal, Burden of Truth), and Deanna Allison (Accused, Edge of America).

Dark Winds is created and executive produced by Graham Roland based on Tony Hillerman’s Leaphorn & Chee novel series. Lucky Cast: Annette Bening Joins Anya Taylor-Joy Apple TV+ Show

Academy Award nominee Annette Bening has officially signed on to join the Lucky cast for Apple TV+‘s upcoming crime drama, based on Marissa Stapley’s best-selling novel of the same name. Bening is expected to portray the role of a dangerous mob leader, named Priscilla.

“The miniseries follows a young woman who left behind the life of crime she was raised in years ago, but must now embrace her darker, criminal side one final time in a desperate attempt to escape her past,” reads the official synopsis.

Who will lead the Lucky cast?

Lucky will be led by Golden Globe winner Anya Taylor-Joy in her first major TV project, after more than four years since starring in Netflix’s acclaimed miniseries The Queen’s Gambit. The upcoming crime drama is created and executive produced by Jonathan Tropper (The Adam Project), who will also serve as a showrunner with Cassie Pappas.

In addition to leading the cast, Taylor-Joy is also executive producing through her LadyKiller banner, alongside Reese Witherspoon and Lauren Neustadter for Hello Sunshine. The miniseries is part of Tropper’s overall deal with Apple TV+.

This marks Taylor-Joy’s latest collaboration with Apple TV+, after working together in the upcoming genre-bending sci-fi action movie The Gorge. Besides Lucky, Taylor-Joy is also currently attached to lead the Netflix thriller series How to Kill Your Family, based on Bella Mackie’s 2021 bestselling novel of the same name. She will also next be seen in the action adventure comedy movie Sacrifice, with Chris Evans and Salma Hayek.

The Conners Season 7 Premiere Release Date Set for Final Season

The release date for The Conners Season 7 has finally been revealed. 

It was reported last year that the seventh season will also serve as the ABC show’s last season. However, everyone’s favorite TV family will be wrapping things up with only six seasons, which is the sitcom’s shortest episode count since the first season premiered with 11 episodes back in 2018. 

When is The Conners Season 7 premiere release date?

The Conners Season 7 will arrive on March 26 at 8 p.m. ET., per The Wrap’s report. The abbreviated seventh season of the Roseanne spin-off will see the return of John Goodman as Dan Conner, Laurie Metcalf as Jackie Harris-Goldufski, Sara Gilbert as Darlene Conner-Olinsky, Emma Kenney as Harris Conner-Healy, Lecy Goranson as Becky Conner-Healy, and more.

“For over three decades, audiences have followed along with the Conners as they navigate the daily struggles of life in Lanford,” ABC said in a statement (via The Wrap). “Dan, Jackie, Darlene and Becky grapple with parenthood, marriage, financial pressures and aging in working-class America. Through it all—the fights, the coupon cutting, the hand-me-downs, the breakdowns—with love, humor and perseverance, the family prevails.”

The Conners served as the continuation for the Roseanne Barr-led sitcom, titled Roseanne. The show ran for nine seasons, from 1988 to 1997. It then received a Season 1 renewal in 2018 and was abruptly cancelled after Barr shared racist remarks about Barack Obama’s former senior adviser Valerie Jarrett. The controversy led to Barr’s firing from the Alphabet network.

Lionsgate has revealed the official Den of Thieves 2: Pantera digital, 4K, and Blu-ray release dates, with the film arriving on digital storefronts on January 28, 2025.

When is the Den of Thieves 2: Pantera 4K & Blu-ray release date?

Den of Thieves 2 is set to release physically on 4K UHD and standard Blu-ray (with DVD/digital copies) on March 4, 2025. The film’s 4K UHD release will retail for $42.99, while the Blu-ray will be available for $39.99.

Along with the release of the sequel, Lionsgate is also releasing a special Den of Thieves Collection Combo Pack, which collects both films in the franchise in a limited 4K UHD bundle. The release features two SteelBooks, one for each of the films, as well as both films on 4K Ultra HD. The Combo Pack will retail for $59.99 and will be available exclusively from Lionsgate Limited’s store.

“Big Nick (Gerard Butler) is back on the hunt in Europe and closing in on Donnie (Jackson), who is embroiled in the treacherous and unpredictable world of diamond thieves and the infamous Panther mafia, as they plot a massive heist of the world’s largest diamond exchange,” reads the official synopsis.

The film stars Gerard Butler and O’Shea Jackson Jr., both of whom reprise their roles from the original film. Additional stars include Evin Ahmad, Salvatore Esposito, Meadow Williams, and Swen Temmel.

Den of Thieves 2: Pantera is once again written and directed by Christian Gudegast, who reportedly spent time with investigators and notorious thieves to prepare for the sequel. The project was first announced in 2018 following the first film’s theatrical release, which earned a worldwide gross of $80 million at the box office. The sequel is produced by Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson along with returning producers Tucker Tooley, and Alan Siegel. Diamond Films’ Meadow Williams is also executive producing along with Glenn Feig.

A major update has arrived regarding Solo Sikoa, the leader of the new Bloodline, ahead of WWE SmackDown. Sikoa faced Roman Reigns at the WWE Raw Netflix premiere episode on January 6th.

The highly anticipated match followed Tribal Combat rules, crowning the winner as the true Tribal Chief and awarding the Ula Fala. Reigns claimed victory after delivering two spears to Sikoa. Following the win, Paul Heyman prepared to hand Reigns the Ula Fala, but The Rock made a surprise appearance.

The Final Boss handed Reigns the Ula Fala and embraced him as they exited the ring together. With this win in the Tribal Combat match, Reigns reclaimed his position as Tribal Chief and holder of the Ula Fala. On WWE SmackDown last week, Solo Sikoa made his first appearance since the loss.

Solo Sikoa entered the ring with Jacob Fatu and Tama Tonga but remained silent, refusing to speak. After Sikoa left the ring, Fatu seized the moment to deliver a fiery message. He grabbed the microphone and declared that he was just getting started.

As Fatu stood up, Sikoa stayed silent. Reports now reveal what is next for Solo Sikoa and his faction members in the new Bloodline.

Recent reports from WrestleVotes Radio on Sportskeeda’s Backstage Pass Patreon confirm that WWE will no longer refer to Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, and Tonga Loa as The Bloodline. This decision comes as Roman Reigns returns to his role as the Tribal Chief.

WWE is shifting directions with Solo Sikoa and his faction by distancing them from the Bloodline name. The change became clear when Jacob Fatu delivered an intense promo and was confronted by LA Knight and a returning Braun Strowman.

WWE is moving away from Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, and Tonga Loa being referred to as ‘The Bloodline’ on TV, now that Roman Reigns is once again ‘The Tribal Chief.’

After this confrontation, WWE confirmed that Jacob Fatu will face Braun Strowman in a singles match at this weekend’s Saturday Night’s Main Event. The promotion is building Fatu’s singles career. The Land That Time Forgot is a new movie from The Asylum, the film production and distribution company that is best known for making direct-to-video mockbusters. This is The Asylum’s second adaptation of Edgar Rice Burroughs’ novel following a 2009 film directed by C. Thomas Howell; however, the two movies are not connected.

What is The Asylum’s The Land That Time Forgot movie about?

“Present-day survivors of a sunken naval vessel capture a Russian sub, only to find themselves stranded on an island filled with deadly, prehistoric creatures,” the official synopsis reads.

The film is directed by Anthony Frith, while the screenplay was written by Dan Telfer. The cast of the movie includes Michael Paré (The Lincoln Lawyer), Jack Pearson (Winners & Losers), and Lauren Koopowitz (Kangaroo Island).

Burroughs’ book was published in 1918. It is the first novel in Burroughs’ Caspak series, followed by The People That Time Forgot and Out of Time’s Abyss. Prior to the 2009 version starring Howell, Timothy Bottoms, and Darren Dalton, The Land That Time Forgot was adapted into a British-American film that was released in 1974. That movie was directed by Kevin Connor, written by Michael Moorcock, and stars Doug McClure, John McEnery, Susan Penhaligon, Keith Barron, and more.

The Land That Time Forgot will be available to watch On Demand on Friday, January 24, 2025.

Many fans want to know how much Nine Inch Nails 2025 ticket prices will be for their upcoming Peel It Back Tour. The last live outing the rock band had was three years ago in 2022. This NIN tour will start with the European leg first on June 15 before heading to North America on August 6. After that, it will visit multiple cities throughout the United States and Canada, ending on September 18 in Inglewood, California. Here’s what we know so far about the cost of a ticket and whether there is any presale offer for the Nine Inch Nails tour for 2025.

What is the ticket price for the NIN Tour in 2025?

The general ticket price for the Nine Inch Nails 2025 tour should be around $50 to $180, depending on the venue, location, and seat. This is not including any additional taxes or fees.

For the Canadian stops in Vancouver and Toronto, the price range for a ticket should be around $70 to $230 CAD.

The cost of a ticket will be around the same range as those for NIN’s 2022 tour, which a user on the NIN Reddit says ranged from $40 to $150 for the band’s stop in Georgia.

General admission tickets will be available for sale on Ticketmaster on Wednesday, January 29, at 12:00 PM in the local time zone for the venue. From what we have seen, there is sadly no presale offers or tickets for any of stops in the American leg of the 2025 NIN Tour. That said, one stop in Manchester, UK on June 17 will have a presale starting on Monday, January 27, at 12:00 PM GMT.

As usual, we suggest that fans hoping to score a ticket on Ticketmaster have all of their purchasing information squared away on the site before the sale starts and to arrive at least 10 minutes before it begins.

Music from Nine Inch Nails will be featured in the upcoming Disney film Tron: Ares and the video game Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, the next project by Neil Druckmann and Naughty Dog.

Marvel Games and NetEase Games announced its newest event for its hit hero shooter Marvel Rivals. Spring Festival will include some new limited-time content, including a new game mode, and cosmetics.

What is the Marvel Rivals Spring Festival event?

The Marvel Rivals Spring Festival event begins on January 23, 2025, at 1 A.M. PT/ 4 A.M. ET. The most notable addition is the Clash of Dancing Lions Game Mode.

“Clash of Dancing Lions is a new limited-time entertainment mode in which teams compete in a 3v3 format on a designated map,” reads an official description of the limited-time mode. “The objective for both teams is to use their skills to gain possession of the ball and maneuver it into the scoring zones located on either side of the field. The first team to reach a predetermined score will be declared the winner.”

The trailer below gives a brief glimpse of the new game mode. It also showcases some of the limited-time items including new Star-Lord, Iron Fist, and Black Widow costumes. The new event will also feature a new nameplate, spray, and other rewards for players to earn.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 for PC is just a little over a week away, and Marvel Rivals is celebrating its launch in style. Available on January 30, 2025, the game’s iconic Advanced Suit 2.0 will be available to grab with the special Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 bundle. It includes the costume, nameplate, and spray.

Marvel Rivals launched just last month, and has been incredibly popular since it released. As of this writing, the hero shooter has over 290,000 concurrent users, making it the third most played game right now behind Dota 2 and Counter-Strike 2. Netflix Exec Says David Lynch Was Secretly Working on Miniseries

Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos has confirmed that the late David Lynch was actually working with the streamer on a limited series prior to the acclaimed filmmaker’s death on January 15 at the age of 78. The miniseries could have been Lynch’s last TV project, after more than three decades since co-creating the mystery horror drama series Twin Peaks, which ran on-air for two seasons from 1990-1991.

What did Ted Sarandos say about David Lynch’s Netflix miniseries?

Sarandos took to Instagram to pay tribute to Lynch, where he shared how he met the director during his earliest days at Netflix. In his post, he also revealed that the streamer immediately jumped on the opportunity to work with Lynch after the director came to them to pitch a limited series, which would have been “filled with mystery and risks.” The project was delayed due to the pandemic and Lynch’s health uncertainties.

“David and I only spoke on a few occasions after that but years later, he came into Netflix to pitch a limited series which we jumped at,” Sarandos wrote in his Instagram tribute to Lynch. “It was a David Lynch production, so filled with mystery and risks but we wanted to go on this creative ride with this genius. First Covid, then some health uncertainties lead to this project never being produced but we made it clear that as soon as he was able, we were all in.

“The last time I spoke to David was as thrilling as the first. He came to my home with my friend and his muse, Laura Dern and we had a long amazing conversation about projects, cinema, life, art and my windows (He loved my windows).”

Netflix‘s new TV and movie releases for January 20-26 2025 include The Night Agent Season 2 and the films You Hurt My Feelings and The Sand Castle.

The Night Agent Season 2 graces Netflix on January 23. Helmed by Shawn Ryan, this action-thriller drama follows a laser-focused FBI agent who gets tangled in a deadly conspiracy, after monitoring an emergency line. Gabriel Basso headlines the series. Supporting cast members include Luciane Buchanan, Fola Evans-Akingbola, Sarah Desjardins, Eve Harlow, Phoenix Raei, Enrique Murciano, D.B. Woodside, and Hong Chau.

The Sand Castle arrives on January 24. Matty Brown directed this film from a script he co-wrote with Hend Fakhroo and Yassmina Karajah. Ziad Bakri, Nadine Labaki, Zain Al Rafeea, and Riman Al Rafeea star. The story follows a family of four who find themselves in a race against time for survival. This is after they are stranded on a deserted island. Moreover, the family also begins dealing with various past secrets coming to light.

Also releasing on Netflix this week is the film You Hurt My Feelings and NCIS Seasons 1-5.

You Hurt My Feelings is a drama surrounding a novelist’s strained marriage, kicked off by her husband’s honest and blunt critique of her book. Julia Louis-Dreyfus stars in the lead role alongside a supporting cast comprised of Tobias Menzies, Michaela Watkins, Arian Moayed, Owen Teague, and Amber Tamblyn.

NCIS is a long-running crime-drama series following a team of special agents investigating all sorts of crimes connected to US Army and Navy personnel.

On January 22, Kiff: Lore of the Ring Light drops on Disney Plus. It is a special episode of the popular animated series, Kiff that will air as a standalone double-length episode between the first two seasons of the show. For the unaware, Kiff revolves around the life of the titular squirrel and his best friend bunny, Barry. The duo stays in Table Town and embarks on numerous fun adventures. Aside from fun, Kiff and Bary learn important lessons that help them change their lives for the better.

The series features voice-overs of Kimiko Glenn as Kiff Chatterley, H. Michael Croner as Barry Buns, Vella Lovell as Candle Fox, Nic Smal as Principal Secretary, Eric Bauza as Reggie, Steve Little as Glarbin Gloobin, and Aparna Nancherla as Miss Moufflé.

Further, on the same day, To Catch a Smuggler: Tropical Takedown Season 1 will be available on the streaming platform. The documentary series showcases the Caribbean Corridor agents coming together to fight against the global cocaine trade. AMO and HSI track down the smuggling of millions of drugs in Puerto Rico and nearby islands. The team makes sure to crush the network of criminals in these islands who are supplying drugs to the United States and Europe. However, catching these hardcore and twisted criminals isn’t a cakewalk.

Elsbeth Season 2: Fast & Furious’ Jordana Brewster & More Join Cast as CBS Series Returns

A Fast & Furious alum will be gracing Elsbeth Season 2. Jordana Brewster, who most recently starred in the thriller film Cellar Door, will be guest starring in the second season of CBS’ procedural comedy-drama. 

Elsbeth follows the titular attorney, a character described as skilled yet unconventional, who works with the NYPD to catch the most affluent murderers in New York. Elsbeth Tascioni, played by Carrie Preston, is based on the character featured on CBS’ The Good Wife and The Good Fight. 

Who else will guest star in Elsbeth Season 2? 

Due to the well-received first season, more names have joined the series as guest stars alongside Brewster. She is set to play Chloe, “a lifestyle consultant usually found on the arms of the high rollers on billionaire’s row,” according to Deadline. The outlet added that the character “will do anything for her clients, even murder.”

In addition to Brewster, Tracey Ullman (The Tracey Ullman Show) will be guest starring in Elsbeth Season 2 as Marilyn, a professional psychic with supernatural gifts. The two will join previously announced guest star Alyssa Milano (Who’s the Boss?), who will play “fiery and sexy former mafia princess” Pupetta DeMarco. 

“Elsbeth, an astute but unconventional attorney, utilizes her unique point of view to corner brilliant criminals alongside the NYPD,” the logline reads. 

Elsbeth, created by Robert and Michelle King, also stars Carra Patterson (Turner & Hooch) as young NYPD officer Kaya Blanke, Wendell Pierce (Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan) as Charles Wallace, Gloria Reuben (Reasonable Doubt ) as Claudia Payne, Molly Price (Bionic Woman) as Detective Donnelly, Micaela Diamond (Grotesquerie) as Detective Edwards, and more.

The comedy-drama has so far featured a number of guest stars, including the likes of Modern Family’s Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Wonka’s Keegan-Michael Key, Bull’s Geneva Carr, and Five Nights at Freddy’s’ Elizabeth Lail, among others. 

Elsbeth airs Thursdays on CBS. Previous episodes are available to stream on Paramount+.

David Lynch Passes Away, Twin Peaks Creator Was 78

David Lynch, the legendary filmmaker behind projects like Blue Velvet and Mulholland Drive, as well as the creator of the television series Twin Peaks, died at 78, according to a statement from his family.

The news was confirmed on Lynch’s official Facebook post by his family, who shared a photo of Lynch along with the news.

“It is with deep regret that we, his family, announce the passing of the man and the artist, David Lynch,” reads the family’s statement. “We would appreciate some privacy at this time. There’s a big hole in the world now that he’s no longer with us. But, as he would say, ‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.’ It’s a beautiful day with golden sunshine and blue skies all the way.”

Lynch first studied painting before jumping into the world of film in the late 1960s. His feature debut, 1977’s Eraserhead, saw success as a midnight movie and propelled him into stardom as a filmmaker. He went on to make the 1980 drama The Elephant Man, which earned him an Academy Award nomination, and then helm the infamous 1984 adaptation of Dune.

In 1986, Lynch would direct one of his most famous films, the neo-noir mystery thriller blue Velvet starring Kyle MacLachlan (who would go on to be a longtime collaborator with Lynch), Isabella Rossellini, Dennis Hopper, and Laura Dern (another future collaborator). The film went on to become a cult classic, and is now often regarded as one of the best films of all time.

In 1990, Lynch would create perhaps his most well-known and famous project, the television series Twin Peaks, a surreal mystery drama that aired on ABC for two seasons. In 1992, he directed Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me, a prequel film, and more than 20 years later, he returned to Twin Peaks with the critically acclaimed third season of Twin Peaks.

Following Twin Peaks, Lynch would go on to direct 1997’s Lost Highway, as well as 2001’s Mulholland Drive, a surrealist neo-noir mystery film starring Justin Theroux, Naomi Watts, and Laura Harring, that garnered massive praise. Lynch’s last film was 2006’s Inland Empire.

Lynch was honored with an Honorary Academy Award in 2019, and throughout his life, earned numerous other accolades, including the Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement in 2006. He is often regarded as one of the most influential filmmakers of the modern era of movies. Outside of his work in film, Lynch also became extremely popular throughout social media for his dry humor-filled “weather reports” that he would share on the radio and social media for years.

Alien: Romulus 2 Update Given by Director Fede Álvarez

Director Fede Álvarez has given an update on Alien: Romulus 2.

Alien: Romulus was released in United States theaters in August 2024 by 20th Century Studios. Directed by Álvarez, the science fiction horror movie is set between the events of Ridley Scott’s Alien and James Cameron’s Aliens.

While a direct sequel to Alien: Romulus has not been officially greenlit at this time, Álvarez has said he’s interested in continuing the story, potentially with the survivor characters of the 2024 movie. 20th Century Studios president Steve Asbell also noted late last year that ideas for an Alien: Romulus sequel are still being worked out.

Speaking with Empire Magazine, Álvarez provided an update on where things currently stand with Alien: Romulus 2.

What did Fede Álvarez say about Alien: Romulus 2?

“[Co-writer Rodo Sayagues] and I are working on that right now,” Álvarez said. “We’re excited about where it can go. We’ve almost checked all of the boxes of things that I want to see [in Romulus] and brought back a lot of the things I hadn’t seen in a while. Wherever we go now, we can go into uncharted waters.”

He added, “I think it’ll be so exciting to go with characters you know from this movie, to a place in the Alien franchise that we’ve never been before, and to discover things that you’ve never seen before.”

Álvarez says that he doesn’t want to make an Alien: Romulus sequel just because the first one made money; rather, he and Sayagues are on the hunt for the right story to tell in a continuation.

“The mistake usually with sequels is to make them because you can, and because of the success of Romulus, we definitely can make a sequel,” he said. “But I wouldn’t do it unless we have a really good idea for it, something that’s worthy of the title.

Alien: Romulus is now streaming on Hulu.

Universal Pictures and Blumhouse have released the first The Woman in the Yard trailer, previewing the upcoming horror movie about a mysterious visitor from a stranger.

What happens in The Woman in the Yard trailer?

The trailer for the upcoming movie doesn’t showcase too much but does give us a good look at the titular woman in the yard. The video sees the mysterious stranger appear in the yard of a family, draped completely in black, teasing that “today’s the day.”

The Woman in the Yard is set to release in theaters on March 28, 2025.

The Woman in the Yard is directed by Jaume Collet-Serra and written by first-time feature screenwriter Sam Stefanak. The film stars Danielle Deadwyler, Okwui Okpokwasili, Russell Hornsby, Peyton Jackson, and Estella Kahiha. Collet-Serra and Deadwyler previously worked together on Netflix’s 2024 action film Carry-On.

“Seriously injured, Ramona now must care for their 14-year-old son and 6-year-old-daughter, alone in her rural farmhouse,” reads the film’s official synopsis. “Then one day the woman takes form in their yard. Ramona assumes the woman is lost or demented, but as the woman creeps nearer and nearer to the house, it becomes clear she is no ordinary figure and her intentions are anything but peaceful. Now Ramona must rally to protect herself and her children from the grasp of the woman who simply won’t leave them alone.”

The film is produced by Jason Blum and Stephanie Allain and is executive produced by Deadwyler, Collet-Serra, James Moran, and Gabrielle Ebron.
