According to Deadline, Game of Thrones alum Nell Tiger Free has officially been tapped for the leading role in 20th Century Studios’ upcoming horror prequel titled First Omen, the newest installment in classic The Omen franchise.

This marks her first major movie project since appearing in independent British films Broken and Settlers. She is also no stranger to the horror genre as she’s currently starring in Apple TV+’s psychological horror series Servant.
First Omen will be directed by Arkasha Stevenson from a screenplay she’s co-writing with Tim Smith. The film will be produced by David S. Goyer and Keith Levin for Phantom Four, with Smith serving as an executive producer. Further details about its plot and characters are still being kept under wraps.

Created by David Seltzer, The Omen franchise started in 1976, with the first film having been directed by Richard Donner. The story revolves around an antichrist child named Damien who gets adopted by the Thorn family. Due to the first installment’s success, it was followed by three more sequels and a remake with a combined worldwide gross of over $250 million at the box office. Damien has been played by different actors in each installment, including Harvey Spencer Stephens and Sam Neill.
