During Annapurna Interactive’s Showcase on Wednesday, the publisher revealed the Blade Runner 2033: Labyrinth trailer. It previews the first Blade Runner game in 25 years.
What do we know about Blade Runner 2033: Labyrinth?
The new Blade Runner game will be set in between the original film and Denis Villeneuve’s 2017 sequel Blade Runner 2049. According to the trailer, it will take place after the events of the Black Out — a moment in Blade Runner history that saw an unprecedented ten-day blackout hit Los Angeles.
In the trailer, a voice discusses the effects of the blackouts. The trailer then shows someone rotating a device similar to the “memory orb” in Blade Runner 2049, flipping through various of images of different locations.

Aside from being the first official game in the iconic sci-fi franchise in 25 years, the title is also the first internally developed title from Annapurna.
