Backstage Update on Rhea Ripley’s Segment on WWE NXT

In the latest edition of WWE NXT, former Women’s World Heavyweight Champion Rhea Ripley made an appearance. As a former NXT Women’s Champion, Ripley confronted the upcoming stars on the show.

NXT women’s stars Stephanie Vaquer, Zaria, Kelani Jordan, Giulia, and Jordynne Grace had assembled during a backstage segment. They were seen discussing their upcoming ten-woman tag team match for next week. Suddenly, Rhea Ripley appeared during their conversation.

Stepping in, Rhea Ripley said she needed to see this team for herself. She told them to decimate the 2300 Arena next week. After delivering her message to the rising stars, Ripley was attacked by her rival Liv Morgan with a baseball bat, alongside Raquel Rodriguez. Backstage referees rushed to aid Ripley as Morgan and Rodriguez left the scene.

Soon, medics arrived to see Ripley bleeding on the ground next to a blue car. She lay in a bloody mess beside her vehicle. The show then cut to a commercial break, showing Ripley bleeding from the mouth. However, backstage reactions have been revealed after Ripley was discovered in the parking lot. She appeared to have sustained injuries.

Backstage concerns raised for Rhea Ripley’s segment on WWE NXT

Fight Select’s Corey Brennan shared an update regarding Rhea Ripley’s recent segment on WWE NXT. Brennan noted internal concerns within the program regarding the amount of blood depicted during Ripley’s parking lot segment. However, top officials from NXT approved this angle.

There was some concern internally in NXT about the amount of blood shown during Rhea Ripley's segment in the parking lot, but it was green lit by "a higher power" on the brand.

With Rhea Ripley left in a bloody mess, the rivalry between Morgan and Ripley has taken a significant turn. Currently, Morgan is currently preparing for her match against Nia Jax at WWE Crown Jewel 2024. Given Morgan’s attack on Ripley, fans wonder if the latter interferes in her upcoming match. The program will be help in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, next week.
