'Tomorrow People' Stars Prep for Monday Move With Cheeky Promo (Video)

The Tomorrow People is heading to a new night starting next week. To get the word out, The CW tasked castmembers to film special promos.

In a spot released Wednesday, Mark Pellegrino (Jedikiah) and Madeleine Mantock (Astrid) are in a find themselves in a tense showdown inside an Ultra interrogation room.

Jedikiah: "I know you know Astrid... The Tomorrow People -- they're not where they're supposed to be. Where are they?" But Astrid's not biting. It takes a gun pointed at her head to prompt an answer about the new Monday time slot.

"Good... I'll be watching." The question is, will viewers?

Executive producer Phil Klemmer told The Hollywood Reporter earlier this month that he was "excited for the opportunity about making a foothold" on Mondays. "We're doing a couple guerilla campaigns and promos that we shot in between takes. We're hoping to get the word out and I feel like our fans are super loyal and I feel like they're going to travel with us and hopefully their friends," he said.

The Tomorrow People premieres in its new Monday home starting March 17 at 9 p.m. on The CW.

Adrian Pasdar Joins Marvel's 'Agents of SHIELD'

Not content with bringing in Bill Paxton to play Agent Garrett, Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD is welcoming another familiar face to the series. Adrian Pasdar has been tapped to play Major Glenn Talbot in at least one episode of the ABC freshman drama.

Talbot is known to comic book fans as one of the many military menaces to the incredible Hulk, and Pasdar told Marvel.com that he’ll be equally problematic to Agent Coulson's (Clark Gregg) team of SHIELD agents. “Every show needs a jerk,” he said, “I guess I’m that guy.”

Agents of SHIELD is far from Pasdar’s first project with Marvel. Although he remains best known for his work in Profit and NBC’s Heroes, the actor has recently voiced Tony Stark (and his armored alter-ego, Iron Man) for multiple Marvel animated projects including Ultimate Spider-Man, Hulk and the Agents of SMASH and Avengers Assemble.

Currently, Talbot is only officially scheduled for one episode of Agents of SHIELD, but the actor is teasing a return down the line. “As willing as I am to jump when Jeph [Loeb, Marvel TV president] calls, there had to be a little bit more in it than just an episode for me,” Pasdar said. “I can’t say much more but the mustache is in a locker and it’s being taken out and prepped as we speak for next week.”

Pasdar’s first episode as Glenn Talbot will air in April. A specific date has yet to be determined. Agents of SHIELD airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on ABC.

'Idiotsitter' Star: I Love Playing 'A Horrible Person'

Comedy Central recently unleashed its new web series Idiotsitter, which asks the question: How far will one intelligent woman go to pay her bills?

The six-episode series stars co-creators Jillian Bell (Workahlics) and Charlotte Newhouse. Bell plays Gene, a spoiled woman who is living under house arrest in her father's (Stephen Root) mansion. Academic overachiever (but unemployed) Billie (Newhouse) comes on board to look after Gene and tutor her for the GED -- a requirement of her house arrest.

The pair have been writing together since teaming up at the Groundlings. They originally pitched the concept to Comedy Central as a pilot, and tweaked it after it was picked up as a web series -- one of six Comedy Central's digital production studio, CC: Studios, ordered in November.

They shot the entire season in just six days.

"It felt like a week-long Groundlings sketch. It felt very natural," Newhouse tells The Hollywood Reporter.

"We've known each other for about three years now. We wrote one sketch together and we decided we were going to be writing partners for the rest of our lives," adds Bell.

Bell -- whose Workaholics character, Jillian, is incredibly sweet -- relishes the opportunity to play what she calls "a horrible person."

"Both are fun to play," she says, adding that she plays "a not-so-nice person" in the upcoming action comedy 22 Jump Street.

The pair say their are plenty of story possibilities should Idiotsitter get a second season. They are also working on a feature script for MGM.

"We got really lucky with our director [Jeff Tomsic], our cast, and working with Comedy Central,"  says Newhouse. "From makeup to costume, everyone liked doing this and really worked hard."

MOCA to Present Hollywood-Inspired 'Cinema Vezzoli' Exhibition

The Museum of Contemporary Art will unveil new work and earlier work by Italian artist Francesco Vezzoli in an upcoming exhibition that examines Hollywood cinema and celebrity culture through a critical and satirical lens.

MOCA Grand is slated to debut Cinema Vezzoli, which will feature a new series by the Milan-based artist that looks closely at how entertainment media, television and film have fueled a modern obsession with fame and publicity, the museum confirmed Wednesday. 

“I think this is the perfect city, contextually, to present Francesco’s work," Alma Ruiz, MOCA's senior curator tells The Hollywood Reporter. "A lot of our visitors will understand what he’s trying to say, and for those who don’t, we’ll have extended labels and wall text to explain the film references contained in the work.”

In the 2008 piece "Wo-man Ray," Vezzoli addresses the female image and the female body as he references the famous surrealist artist Man Ray. The sculpture features the head of actress Anita Ekberg from La Dolce Vita on the body of a classic marble bust. Ekberg is crying and her streaming tears display the faces of famous actresses. The work references art, cinema and female in beauty in one work, Ruiz says.

The exhibition will also feature pseudo movie posters including a 2006 piece called "All About Anni," which features the faces of actress Marlene Dietrich and German-American artist Anni Albers.

Cinema Vezzoli is the second component of a three-part endeavor showcasing Vezzoli's work. The series began at the National Museum of XXI Century Arts in Rome and will culminate at MoMA PS1 in New York. The second exhibition, which arrives at MOCA on April 27, will feature a series of tapestries that fuses the history of Hollywood cinema with the allegories of Greek mythology.

"Our visitors will have an opportunity to learn about Francesco’s interest in and his own interpretation of the female character as presented in movies; they will learn about the filmmakers that have deeply influenced his artistic vocabulary; they will see a series of videos featuring actors we have become very familiar with; and they will see a new work that Francesco will debut in L.A.," Ruiz says. "They will get to know how multifaceted Francesco’s work is."

Vezzoli is known for his fascination with filmmaking and the Hollywood lifestyle and analyzing its integration with the public sphere. He has worked with countless stars including Cate Blanchett, Eva Mendes and Helen Mirren to produce performance art that spoofs contemporary American celebrity culture in the context of classic European cinema. Mirren starred alongside Courtney Love in a remake parody trailer of Gore Vidal's Caligula; Mendes participated in a rereading of La Dolce Vita.

By the time Ruiz met Vezzoli in Italy in 2001, the artist had already partnered up with a number of prominent Hollywood personalities.

"Francesco somehow had found a way to convince famous actors and performers to collaborate with him for free," Ruiz said. "They would agree to appear in his videos, to be directed by a young, unknown artist, because they believed in what he was doing. That was quite remarkable to me."

Vezzoli’s work has been featured at MOCA three times. In 2012, he donated “GREED, A New Fragrance by Francesco Vezzoli” a 60-second commercial that mimicked perfume advertisements. It starred Academy Award-nominated actresses Natalie Portman and Michelle Williams and was directed by Roman Polanski.

His performance work “Ballets Russes Italian Style (The Shortest Musical You Will Never See Again)” was performed at MOCA’s 30th anniversary gala in 2009, and featured Lady Gaga and dancers from the Bolshoi Ballet.

His first contribution to the museum was a work titled “A Love Trilogy: Self-Portrait with Marisa Berenson as Edith Piaf" in 2001.

The exhibition, presented by yoox.com, will be on display from April 27 to Aug. 11 at 250 S. Grand Ave. in Los Angeles.

NYFW: Trina Turk Made Jared Leto An Oscars Suit

Trina Turk is a woman on a mission. Not only is she continuing her unwitting life's purpose of bringing the cool quirk of mid-century Palm Springs to the fashion flock and beyond, she's now vying to get her wares on the Oscars red carpet by way of one way rad nominee: Jared Leto. 

"I really want him to wear one of our suits," the L.A. and Palm Springs-based designer told Pret-a-Reporter at her fall 2014 presentation at Manhattan's Hudson Hotel on Friday. Though she's no stranger to celebrity dressing (Mindy Kaling and Ashley Greene are just two of many fans), the designer's colorful, contemporary goods are usually more at home at a spring luncheon as opposed to a formal event. But thanks to the introduction of her Mr. Turk line of menswear  in 2011 (which just happens to be designed by husband Jonathan Skow), Turk has become a very real player in the red carpet game.

"Actually we already made him one," the clothier confessed while showing off her latest collection of 1970s-esque chunky knits, muted florals and oversized metal mesh clutches, which she says were inspired by driving from L.A.'s Silver Lake neighborhood all the way to the ocean. "In fact we made him one that looks like the one I'm wearing!"

Turk's own suit -- a black tailored number stamped with glossy jacquard flowers -- was based off of a forest green Mr. Turk style shown in the fall presentation. Turk was such a fan that she decided to throw in a women's version, too.

"All of the women in our office started wearing the Mr. Turk stuff, including myself. So we ended up doing a slightly different version of our Mr. Turk suit. As you can see," she said, pointing to her pair of matching models.  "They look ready for a night on the town."

Though Turk's camp has sent their custom suit to Leto for his sartorial consideration, there's no word on whether or not he'll end up sporting the style on March 2 (the Dallas Buyers Club star chose Saint Laurent for the Golden Globes and Dior for the SAGs). 

One thing is for certain -- if he turns up in eye catching, understated florals come Oscars night, we won't have to dig for the dress credits.
