MTV's 'Awkward' First Season 4 Trailer: Boy Drama, College Blues and Hookups (Video)

It's senior year on Awkward.

The first official trailer for the MTV comedy hit the web Tuesday afternoon, and Jenna Hamilton (Ashley Rickards) is going through some major changes.

Newly single, Jenna turns to Matty (Beau Mirchoff) to keep her occupied, reverting to their "mating" ways, as Tamara (Jillian Rose Reed) so eloquently puts it. When things seem to be going the way of sophomore year, Jenna is faced with yet another obstacle to get over. "He's getting what he wants and you're not," Tamara tells Jenna. "I'm not going to be your shameful secret again," Jenna says.

It seems Jenna is ready to put the boy drama behind her and focus on her college plans. But that proves easier said than done when a new boy comes into play. She's not the only one having relationship troubles, as Jake (Brett Davern) and Tamara go through their own rough patch. "O. M. Geezus. Cree. He is Taylor Swift-ing me," Tamara says, stunned.

This marks the first season without creator Lauren Iungerich and the debut of co-showrunners Chris Alberghini and Mike Chessler. Elizabeth Whitson, Kofi Siriboe, Evan Crooks and Monty Geer also join the new season, which kicks off April 15, while Nolan Funk and Jessica Lu won't be returning.

Preta Book Club's February Pick: 'The Flame Throwers'

Welcome to Pret-a-Reporter’s inaugural Preta Book Club selection! This month, we will be reading (digesting, living, breathing) Rachel Kushner’s The Flame Throwers, which was a National Book Award Finalist in 2013 and will undoubtedly have legs well into the new year and beyond.

In her sophomore effort (following 2008’s Telex from Cuba), Kushner weaves an unusual narrative in which the intersection of art, geopolitics and relationships takes us from the trenches of WWI to the art scene of '70s New York to the salt flats of Utah, all with a shocking seamlessness. Critic James Wood calls The Flame Throwers "scintillatingly alive, and also alive to artifice," as told primarily in the voice of Kushner’s unnamed protagonist, a young artist who falls in love with an Italian sculptor and soon learns -- well, we’ll get to that! 

Each Wednesday from 1 to 1:30 p.m. PT, we will host a live blog to discuss the previous week's reading assignment. In addition to sparking scintillating debate and literary camaraderie, joining the Preta Book Club will also automatically qualify you for a chance to win fun prizes related to the book and the general Preta world at large.

NYFW Weather Report: Nicky Zimmermann's Cold Weather Survival Guide

She's best known for bathing suits. But we thought what the hell? Australian designer Nicky Zimmermann, who dresses Ashley Madekwe and showed her fall '14 ready-to-wear collection (which is comprised of much more than just swimwear) at Lincoln Center on Friday  -- must be extra prepared for the arctic death zone that is New York City this week, despite calling warm, sunny Sydney home. 

We caught up with the Aussie, who -- along with her sister and business partner Simone -- will open a namesake store in the Hamptons this summer, to find out how a warm weather creature braves the cold.

Pret-a-Reporter  : It's summer in Australia right now. It's 28 degrees in New York. How are you handling the cold? 

Nicky Zimmermann: It's all a bit of a novelty, really. We have had the most lovely summer in Australia -- it's been hot and sunny day after day, so I'm, quite enjoying the chill of New York. 

PaR: How romantic. What's your cold weather uniform? 

NZ: I bought a black shearling jacket with a giant fluffy collar and it's keeping me covered day and night. 

PaR: We forgot to pack socks and couldn't feel our feet today. Are there any pieces in your fall/winter '14 collection that you want to start wearing, like, right this second to stay warm? We spied one particular oversized chunky knit sweater dress that put stars in our eyes, for various reasons.

NZ: I love our big houndstooth coat we just showed. I tried to take the sample but all the sensible people in the business told me that it was needed elsewhere post show! 

PaR: Can you offer our readers (and our own blood-thinned, California soul) one piece of sage advice for looking cute in arctic temps? 

NZ: Make the bottom layer the best. 

PaR: Thin cashmere underpinnings. Check. Last but not least, how do you plan on celebrating the end of summer in Australia?

NZ: I've got to go to London briefly before I go back to Sydney. When I get back it will be straight down to Camp Cove Beach for a swim with my kids.

Philip Seymour Hoffman: Fashion Brands Slammed for Promoting Labels Worn at Memorials

Asking a star who they are wearing is commonplace at an award show or premiere - but totally unacceptable at a funeral.

However, after Philip Seymour Hoffman's friends, family and co-stars paid their respects to the late actor at both a Thursday night wake and then Friday's funeral, top name design houses quickly used the events to promote their collections. 

The funeral fashions of Hollywood stars such as Hoffman's Doubt co-star Amy Adams -- who attended the private memorial on Thursday evening in Manhattan -- were then included in press releases sent out to leading style editors.

"We are pleased to announce Amy Adams carrying the Valentino Garavani Rockstud Duble bag from the Spring/Summer 2014 collection on February 6th in New York," read a statement from Valentino that went out on the following morning.

Other insensitive labels, such as Ugg Australia, reportedly sent cold weather swag to friends of the Capote star who they assumed would visit New York City for the funeral, reported the New York Post.

Among the Hollywood stars who attended Hoffman's funeral on the Upper East Side on Friday were Meryl Streep, Cate Blanchett, Julianne Moore, Adams, Ethan Hawke, Michelle Williams, Joaquin Phoenix, Ellen Burstyn, Spike Lee, John Slattery and Mike Nichols. 

Others, including Adams, Blanchett and Heath Ledger's former longtime partner, Williams, also went to a private wake the night before at  the Frank E. Campbell Funeral Chapel on Manhattan's Upper East Side -- which has also hosted services for Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis and James Cagney.

The highly acclaimed actor was found dead of an apparent drug overdose on Feb. 2 on the bathroom floor of his West Village apartment. 

The Hollywood Reporter has reached out to Valentino for comment.

Complex TV Launches Style Series 'Fashion Bros.'

Complex TV, an online video platform from the male-skewing media company, had added a new show to its slate of original programming.

The company announces today that Fashion Bros. will be its first new show of 2014. The talk show features Complex style editors Lawrence Schlossman and James Harris as hosts. They will discuss the good and the bad of menswear fashion, all with a comedic edge.

Complex started as a men’s magazine in 2002. It has since grown into a digital media firm with 123 male-oriented websites.

Complex TV launched in 2013 and has since built up a slate of 13 original series. In December it launched daily news program Complex News, which features live stories about current events, entertainment, sports and other topics. Other programs include a variety talk show with Riff Raff called Riff Raff Realm and Quickstrike, during which sneaker enthusiasts preview new shoes.

New episodes of Fashion Bros. will debut every other Thursday.

Designed by late Ski Lankan architect Geoffrey Bawa, the home is an example of “tropical modernism” where colonial architecture is fused with clean lines and open spaces, along with vaulted ceilings, bamboo details and matted walls.

Lady Gaga Keeps Clothing Archive in Hollywood

In case anyone is wondering where Lady Gaga stores her meat dress from the 2010 MTV Awards, the flying dress from her Artpop album launch party and her Kermit the frog outfit from the Holiday Spectacular Thanksgiving special, chances are all those pieces are stored somewhere in L.A. As the cover star of Harper's Bazaar's March issue, the "Applause" singer revealed that she keeps her clothes in Hollywood.

"The fashion I've acquired over the years is so sacred to me -- from costumes to couture, high fashion to punk wear I've collected from my secret international hot spots," the singer told Bazaar. "I keep everything in an enormous archive in Hollywood."

She added: "The clothes are on mannequins, also on hangers and in boxes with a photo of each piece, and there's a website where I can go to look through everything. It's too big -- I could never sort through it myself!"

With so many items from her wardrobe, which ones are important to her? The tour pieces. (Giorgio Armani and Donatella Versace have designed for her past tours.)

"This is the section that is most sacred to me," said Gaga. "These are the pieces that have collected energy, joy and screams from fans all over the world."

While the pop star is known for wearing plenty of outrageous outfits, she mentions that her favorite outfit of all time is surprisingly Audrey Hepburn's iconic derby look in My Fair Lady (1964).
