WWE superstar Charlotte Flair is set to make her acting debut in the horror movie You Lose You Die, starring alongside Emmy-nominated Six Feet Under actor Freddy Rodriguez, in the project which will be directed by Carlos “Spiff TV” Suarez in his directorial debut.
According to Deadline, the movie centers on the sociopathic tech expert Mr. Fantastik (played by Rodriguez). Mr. Fantastik runs a popular series on the dark web with two other unhinged techies, Ms. Perfect (played by Flair) and Mr. Creep (Anthony Alvarez). As part of this show, thousands of viewers vote on the games and challenges that prisoners participate in. If the prisoners are unlucky enough to lose, those viewers vote on the weapons that the sociopaths use to kill them.
The cast also includes Josh Bredl as Mr. Large, Sophia Zimba as Kara, Ashley Hernandez as Julie, Alejandro Duran as Alfonso, Noah Crider as Chase, Marcella Acuña as Christie, Mercy Grant as Darling, and Lydia Faith Gomez as Jamie.
Pre-production is currently underway on the project, which will also be written by Suarez. Executive producers are Freddy Rodriguez, Josue “Sway” Mendez, and Ulysses Terrero. Mendez also produces.
Suarez recently produced The Tax Collector, the crime drama directed by David Ayer. He also contributed to the soundtrack for Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse along with reggaeton star Anuel. Suarez has also directed several music videos, working with artists like Drake, Rick Ross, and French Montana.
Charlotte’s WWE accolades
Flair is a 14-time women’s world champion in the WWE. She is a Triple Crown Champion and Grand Slam Champion in the company, in addition to winning the Royal Rumble match in 2020. Flair became the first woman, alongside Sasha Banks, to headline a WWE pay-per-view event. She also main-evented match WrestleMania 35, the company’s biggest event of the year, alongside Becky Lynch and Ronda Rousey. Flair made her acting debut in 2017’s Psych: The Movie as Heather Rockrear.
