Hulu Schedule May 1-7: New TV & Movies
The Hunger Games movie series is heading to Hulu as part of the May 1-7 schedule.
Released in 2012, the first Hunger Games installment saw Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss Everdeen, a girl chosen to fight to the death in an arena full of contestants until only one survivor remains. The Hunger Games was then followed by Catching Fire (2013), Mockingjay – Part 1 (2014), and Mockingjay – Part 2 (2015), with a fifth installment titled The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes — which will serve both as a prequel and a spin-off — coming in November 2023. The franchise grossed over $2.9 billion at the box office.

Clock Star Jay Ali Discusses Intense Scenes & Daredevil
ComingSoon Senior Editor Spencer Legacy spoke to Clock star Jay Ali about the psychological horror movie. Ali spoke about his character’s many sides and his time in the MCU. The film is now streaming on Hulu. (Watch and read more interviews.)
“Clock is the story of a woman who enrolls in a clinical trial to try and fix her seemingly broken biological clock after friends, family, and society pressures her to have children,” reads the movie’s synopsis.
Spencer Legacy: So what was it about Clock that appealed to you when you first heard about it?
Jay Ali: Just reading the script and just it being so different and also making a horror movie out of something which women go through every day of their lives. Making a horror scene out of a woman’s yearly exam — things like that. It was just so interesting. From a male’s point of view, just seeing the pressures that they go through. We’re quite ignorant as men — we do have it easy, mate, compared to what women have to go through.
It was just so well-written and, Alexis [Jacknow] had a very clear vision of what it was that she was going through. It was just so interesting, you know? You never know how things are going to turn out, but on the script, it was interesting and intriguing enough and I was learning things about myself and my view on that whole situation. I was like, “Yeah, I want to be a part of this.”
Aidan’s a really interesting character because, at the start, he seems pretty straightforward, but as it goes on, there are more layers to him. So how did you go about balancing those different sides of the character throughout the movie?
It’s quite interesting — when me and Alexis first spoke about the character, I was like, “He knew. He knows she went to the clinic.” And she was like, “No, no, no, he just knew about this experiment.” And I was like, “No, no, no, no. I think he knew. He knew she’d gone and done it and he’s just been playing along the whole time.” She was like, “That’s very interesting.” And then we basically played around with it and went with whatever we felt worked best for the movie.
But at the beginning, I just wanted to make sure he came across as a very loving, supportive husband, but giving that hint that he does want kids, even though he’s saying that he’s happy regardless of whatever she decides to do and [that] it’s up to her. It was about having that balance. We wanted that twist to be a real twist. What did you think when that twist happened? Did you see it coming?
I was genuinely surprised. I just thought, “Oh he seems so supportive and nice.”
Yeah! Good, good. So my whole thing at the beginning was he’s just super supportive and then having that twist at the end. So yeah, I’m glad it worked. I’m glad it worked
There are also lots of intense scenes in the movie, including later ones with you and Dianna Agron. What was filming those together like?
Man, she’s brilliant. She’s in every scene of the movie and she never was low on energy. She was always so professional. She was always so kind, so sweet, so funny — it was a dream. I would work every other day, or something like that. She was in every scene all day. She was just amazing.
It’s very easy to have rapport and chemistry with someone like that because she’s so lovable, she’s so amazing. There was never a day on set where it was like, “Ugh.” Getting towards the end of a shoot, people get a little bit testy with each other. Never, mate. She was brilliant the whole time.
That’s amazing. And you’ve worked with plenty of directors in your career. What really stood out about Alexis from your time on the project?
She knows what she wants, which helps. She’s very, very clear on her vision, what story she’s trying to tell, what she’s trying to tell in each scene. This is her first feature — she smashed it, mate. She smashed it out of the park. You know you’re doing something good, but you never know. Look, I’ve done movies before where I’m like, “This is going to be amazing.” And then nothing happened from it. We all know, but for her to be so sure of her script, her vision — and you’ve seen it mate, it’s awesome. Like, I knew what happened. I know what happens, but watching it for the first time and the music she put in, the cuts, everything. There was moments where the hair was standing up on the back of my neck.
There were moments where you’re like, “Ugh!” That’s really hard to do, especially when I know what’s happening. Like that bit where the tall woman’s at the side of her window. I’ve seen it in the trailer each time, but when I watched the movie, it still got me. The examination — it’s like a horror scene, when she’s doing her yearly exam. And I think that’s where like as men we are like, “Ah, women have got it easy.” Then we see that and we’re like, “Shit!” It looks like a horror scene. It’s not. It’s a normal medical procedure, and that’s why Alexis is so brilliant. Because she can make something very “normal” — like a woman’s yearly exam — seem like a horror scene. It could have been out of Saw, you know?
That’s a really great way of putting it. Another thing that you were great in was Daredevil, and now that it’s been a few years, how do you look back on that experience and being in the MCU?
It was amazing. I mean, it was one of the best experiences of my life. Being on Daredevil, as well. I mean that show was just … sometimes the plot and acting can get lost in Marvel movies, just with special effects and all this stuff. The action kind of overtakes what is being said. Daredevil didn’t miss a beat — Season 3 didn’t. It was amazing.
The acting was so strong. You’ve got Vincent D’Onofrio, you’ve got Charlie Cox, Joanne Whalley — I mean, they’re amazing actors. The story was so compelling and it was all real time, real life. So it was an amazing experience and I learned so much. These roles I’m getting now are because I did Daredevil, for sure.
With Daredevil: Born Again on the horizon and the series being on Disney+ now, have you seen a bit of a resurgence with fans?
There was a big resurgence when Charlie was in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Then everyone went back to Daredevil and watched it again and it was like the show just came out. I think it went back into Netflix’s top five again. Then, I think, a lot of people watched it before it went over to Disney+. Yeah, I still get messages.
I still get people tweeting about Ray Nadeem and how they miss Ray Nadeem and is he coming back? And I’m like, “I’m pretty sure he’s dead.” But yeah, mate, as I said, the fanbase of that is amazing and the love and support that I got for that role was … I’ve never experienced anything like it.
Carnival Row just wrapped recently. With the series having ended, how do you feel about your time on it and its conclusion?
It was amazing. Shooting in Prague, doing such a huge-budgeted show with all these special effects and flying, I was a fairy in it, and working with Orlando [Bloom] and Cara [Delevingne] and stuff like that … it was great. Did the show end at the right time? Probably, yeah. It’s a difficult show to shoot, you know? We finished shooting that in October 2021. It’s only just come out now, but it was still kind of in that Covid thing and it was just too difficult to shoot.
So yeah, it was a great experience. I loved it. It was great to do that flying and stuff. I’m very lucky. I’m very blessed and every job I get … I’m very, very thankful for everything — just like this one. I’m very proud of this one mate. Really. I really am.

Iconic Roles: The Best Jude Law Movie Performances
Jude Law has enjoyed a successful career despite never hitting the big time. He’s a dependable actor with a strong resume. Still, I’d be lying if I claimed any of the best Jude Law movie performances knocked my socks off. I’d call Law the ultimate character actor, someone who surprises you every time they appear on the screen — oh, it’s Jude Law!
Hollywood tried to make the man a thing following his breakout role in The Talented Mr. Ripley, with mediocre results. Law does his best work when placed in an ensemble – think Side Effects, The Holiday, Closer, The Aviator, Contagion, and I Heart Huckabees – but displays plenty of panache when given the opportunity – nobody saw King Arthur, but damn, he’s pretty great in it!
So, to celebrate his role as Captain Hook in Disney’s Peter Pan & Wendy, I’ve compiled the best Jude Law movie performances listed in order of release.
Gattaca (1997)
I mean, you must include Gattaca on any list of the best Jude Law movie performances, right? While he’s only a supporting player in what is essentially an Ethan Hawke/Uma Thurman vehicle, Law still does a great job as Jerome, a paralyzed former Olympian who aids our hero in his quest to attain significance in a future society dictated by genetics.
The film, directed by Andrew Niccol, is an intelligent sci-fi drama with solid performances, sharp writing, and enough twists and turns to hold viewers’ attention. Sure, it’s not the classic some claim it is, but Gattaca dares to challenge its audience while offering a tease of Law’s potential as an actor.
The Talented Mr. Ripley (1999)
Shortly after Gattaca, Law snuck into Anthony Minghella’s lavishly produced adaptation of Patricia Highsmith’s acclaimed novel, The Talented Mr. Ripley. For those unaware, Ripley tells the tale of Tom Ripley (Matt Damon) and his attempts to live the life of his idol, Dickie (Law), after murdering him.
The 1999 pic is creepy in all the right ways due to Minghella’s direction and a strong cast that includes Gwyneth Paltrow, Cate Blanchett, Philip Seymour Hoffman, and Jack Davenport. Law enjoys a small but pivotal role which landed him an Oscar nomination and led to one of the most unsettling deaths in movie history.
A.I. Artificial Intelligence (2001)
Following his breakout in the previous years, Law teamed up with Steven Spielberg for the generally well-received A.I. Artificial Intelligence. Personally, I think this movie (adapted from a story by the late Stanley Kubrick) about an abandoned child robot named David (Haley Joel Osment) searching for his mother ranks among Spielberg’s best. Spielberg’s camerawork is imaginative, the special effects are exquisite, and John Williams’ score ranks among his greatest work.
Law co-stars as Gigolo Joe, a robot sex worker who gets caught up in David’s adventure and bids adieu by claiming, “I am. I was.” The actor does a solid job in the role but never gets to fully flex his acting chops. Regardless, A.I. is a sci-fi wonder packed with lavish visuals, fascinating questions, and a powerful ending that owes as much to Blade Runner as Pinocchio. Unforgettable.
The Road to Perdition (2002)
Jude Law’s kookiest performance occurs in Sam Mendes’ somber Road to Perdition, where he plays a photographer/hitman in search of Tom Hanks’ ruthless gangster. Again, Law shares screentime with an incredible cast – Hanks, Paul Newman, Daniel Craig, and Stanley Tucci – but manages to impress in a handful of scenes. The film never reaches the glorious heights it aspires to.
Still, there’s plenty here to admire, including Conrad L. Hall’s incredible cinematography, Newman’s performance, and Thomas Newman’s haunting score. There are far better mob movies out there, but Road to Perdition is still worth a look, if only to see how far Law will go for his craft.
Cold Mountain (2003)
A fascinating war film, viewers remember Cold Mountain for Renee Zellweger’s go-for-broke Academy Award-winning performance. Still, it deserves far more recognition as a powerful anti-war film. Jude Law stars as a Confederate army soldier who abandons his post and travels back to his lover (Nicole Kidman). Along the way, he participates in several misadventures, including a terrific bit where he saves Natalie Portman from a bunch of no-good soldiers.
Directed by Anthony Minghella, Cold Mountain occasionally feels like Oscar bait at its worst. Still, the early 2000s effort swings for the fences and delivers an old-fashioned, emotional, heart-wrenching adventure, which is why it lands on our list of the five best Jude Law movie performances.

What’s Leaving Hulu at the End of April 2023
All the installments in The Expendables franchise are leaving Hulu at the end of April 2023.
Fans still have a few days to catch all The Expendables movies on Hulu. The film series is composed of The Expendables (2010), The Expendables 2 (2012), and The Expendables 3 (2014). It features an all-star cast of popular action-movie actors, such as Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Bruce Willis, and Arnold Schwarzenegger, among others. Warrior Season 3 Teaser Trailer Sets Max Release Date
The first Warrior Season 3 teaser trailer for the return of Max‘s martial arts drama has been released, teasing Andrew Koji‘s action-packed return as Ah Sahm. Warrior Season 3 is scheduled to premiere on June 29 — more than two years since wrapping up its 10-episode second season.
“In the wake of the race riots that upended Chinatown in season two, Mai Ling uses her government connections to consolidate power, while Ah Sahm and the Hop Wei must find new ways to survive,” reads the logline for the next season.

In a recent interview with Deadline, showrunner Josh Stoddard opened up about Ah Sahm’s story arc in Season 3, which will see the hero struggling to choose which path he must follow.
“The riot at the end of last season drastically changed the playing field in Chinatown, and when the new season begins, the tongs are fighting each other for scraps,” Stoddard said. “With the cops enforcing a slew of cruel new ordinances meant to punish the Chinese, our characters are desperate, looking for new ways forward. That means new risks, uneasy alliances, and huge betrayals that will force every single one of our characters to confront some ugly truths and lead Ah Sahm to explore the tension between the gangster he is, and the hero his people need him to be.”
Based on the writings of martial arts legend Lee, the gritty, action-packed crime drama is created and executive produced by Jonathan Tropper (Banshee) via his Tropper Ink Productions label, and is set during the brutal Tong Wars of San Francisco’s Chinatown in the late 19th century. It follows Ah Sahm, a martial arts prodigy who emigrates from China to San Francisco under mysterious circumstances.
The cast for the series is led by Andrew Koji alongside Kieran Bew, Celine Buckens, Olivia Cheng, Dianne Doan, Dean Jagger, Langley Kirkwood, Maria-Elena Laas, Hoon Lee, Christian McKay, Dustin Nguyen, Miranda Raison, Chen Tang, Joe Taslim, Jason Tobin, Joanna Vanderham, Tom Weston-Jones, and Perry Yung.
Warrior is also executive produced by Justin Lin (F9: The Fast Saga), Danielle Woodrow, and Andre Schneider for Perfect Storm Entertainment, Shannon Lee for Bruce Lee Entertainment, Brad Kane and Richard Sharkey, with Kenneth Lin, Evan Endicott, and Josh Stoddard attached as co-executive producers.

Spencer Legacy: What was it about Clock that made you want to be a part of it?
Saul Rubinek: I’ve been a horror fan since I was a little kid, and it’s such an unusual subject for a horror movie, right? I found it very unpredictable — a really interesting page-turner. I wasn’t sure where it was going next. Also because it’s a horror movie whose subject is not usually horror, but doesn’t usually have a subject that’s like this. I mean, it’s basically about a woman who feels guilt and shame because she hasn’t got what’s what she’s supposed to have, according to society, which is maternal instincts. So a biological clock urging her to have a child, which sends her spinning down a psychotic abyss. I had written a play about 12 years ago called Terrible Advice. Terrible Advice was on in London with Scott Bakula, Sharon Horgan, directed by Frank Oz.
One of the characters, the character played by Sharon Horgan, is a woman [who] … lies to her best friend and her lovers, and to her parents and everybody, in her late 30s, that she can’t have children. She’s told everybody that for years, and the truth is that she probably could. There’s no biological reason that she can’t. But she also can’t point to a big major career reason for that choice. She’s always found it easier to say, “I can’t,” rather than, “I don’t want to”. She avoids a lot of judgment when doing that. Since I’d written a character like that and had worked with different actors on that role in the workshop and explored in real life characters who had that thing, I was interested because, for one thing, I have a daughter and I’ve been married for a long time.
The issues in my world of abortion or a woman’s right to choose what she wants to do with their body are not problematic. It’s not a contentious issue in our family or in our group of friends. But I would have to say that in society in general, in almost every culture — I would guess every culture — there is an unspoken taboo that women don’t talk about as often, which has to do with whether or not they even want children. It’s one thing to make a decision. You may want children, or you may feel that urge, but you have a high-powered career, or you don’t feel you have the support system around you, whatever that might be, to have children. You make a decision not to have children. It’s another thing to actually not feel any need for it at all.
Men are not centered for this. I can’t think of men who say, “Yeah, I never want kids.” I don’t think that there’s a pressure on men culturally and maybe in most societies. However, for women, I would imagine that there is a subtle pressure, if not subtle sometimes. My character, the dad — who I really wanted to make a likable ordinary dad — doesn’t think he’s doing anything wrong, [but] inadvertently puts tremendous pressure on his daughter to have children, including, eventually, feeling that all the ancestors who’ve survived all these years, including survived the Holocaust, have been betrayed somehow by the line not continuing. So the shame and guilt that’s felt by women transferred somehow very bravely by Alexis [Jacknow], the screenwriter and director, into a horror movie, was really new to me. It’s such a unique project. It was very easy to say.
At times, the movie straddles the line of what’s real and what’s not happening in the movie. It’s almost like you’re playing two versions of a character since you’re this hallucination version and this regular version. How did you prepare for that, and was it difficult to play the two versions?
I don’t think there really were two versions for me. For me, I just played the reality of it, and it was the way it was filmed that created a different version of it. It really is my character that tears up the photographs from an album. — that’s not a fantasy. Her fantasy isn’t so much about me or the other people in her lives. It’s a surreal kind of acid trip that she goes on, medically induced by the Dr. Frankenstein character — this woman who’s basically trying to give her some kind of medication to jumpstart what is supposed to be a natural maternal instinct in her. So the premise is fucked up right from the beginning, that women are supposed to biologically, naturally feel a maternal instinct.
The two-part Netflix documentary Pretty Baby: Brooke Shields is about how beautiful she was and how she was lauded since childhood for her looks alone. But the second part of the documentary, she talks about postpartum depression, which just about destroyed her, about the shame and guilt she felt about it. Eventually she opened up, she wrote a book about it, and it allowed other women to talk about a subject that was kind of taboo, which is not wanting to be close to the child that you’ve just given birth to, which induced a lot of shame and guilt.
She was brave enough to write about it and certainly brave enough to allow this documentary. This is not the same thing, but there is a similarity here about shame and guilt, about what you’re supposed to feel as a mom or as a potential mom. So that part of the movie is very unusual. I think horror film fans will not know what’s coming next, because the subject matter is usually dealt with in a much different genre — either a heavy dramatic film, or or some kind of dramedy situation about pregnancy and about the pressure that a family might have.
All the pressures, “Aren’t you getting married yet?” That goes to men and women. “I really want grandchildren.” That’s the stuff of comedy. All that stuff that we’ve seen in sitcoms, romantic comedies, and parent-child relationships, Alex turned it on its head and said, “No, this is also the subject for horror. This is could also be a very dark subject.” So that was a really brave thing for the actors — for Dianna [Agron] especially, who played the lead role — to go through, and for Alex to have written and directed. I’m really glad that it got picked up. I think that will give it the audience it deserves. So it’s a really cool, very interesting, very unusual film, especially for fans of the genre.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor PC Issues Plague Launch, EA Issues Statement
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor currently has technical issues across every platform it is on. However, it appears as though PC players have it the roughest, according to widespread reports. It’s gotten bad enough to where Electronic Arts had to issue a statement on the matter.
The EA Star Wars Twitter account tweeted out the note, saying the team was aware of the issues and that the port wasn’t “performing to [its] standards for a percentage” of players on PC. It, ironically, also seems like it’s worse for those with more powerful machines.
EA explained that there was not going to be one fix, but the team has been working on patches that will reportedly improve the situation. But each of these updates has to be tested thoroughly so they don’t add even more issues. As such, EA did not give a window for when the patches will start rolling in.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor currently sits at a “Mostly Negative” on Steam with many reviews calling out how poorly it runs on the user’s machine. This is all after the studio delayed the game an entire month on every platform to meet the “Respawn quality bar.”
While received positively on the whole, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order was also heavily criticized for its many bugs, some of which blocked progression. Head of Respawn Entertainment Vince Zampella was strangely forthcoming about the bugs, saying that the studio considered pushing the game, but wanted to release it in time for the holiday. Fallen Order, despite some stiff competition, came in second place in the November 2019 NPD just after Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. As of May 2020, it had sold over 10 million copies and garnered over 20 million players by June 2021. That number has undoubtedly grown, especially as Fallen Order was a part of January 2023’s PlayStation Plus Essential lineup.

Smurfs Movie Cast Adds Rihanna as Smurfette
Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon Movies announced on Thursday that Rihanna will star as Smurfette in the Untitled Smurfs Animated Film, which is set to release on February 14, 2025.
The untitled movie is set to be co-directed by Chris Miller and Matt Landon, with Rihanna, Jay Brown, Tyran “Ty-Ty” Smith, and Ryan Harris attached as producers. Alongside her starring role and production credits, Rihanna will also create and perform original music for the film.
“On behalf of our studio and our creative partners at LAFIG, we couldn’t be more excited to have found our Smurfette in one of the most beloved stars in the world,” said Brian Robbins, President and CEO of Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon, and Ramsey Naito, President of Paramount Animation and Nickelodeon Animation.
“With Rihanna’s singular creative appeal and musical talents, there is an enormous opportunity to elevate the cultural touchstone of The Smurfs universe in a way that’s never been done before.”
News of a new Smurfs film in development was reported last year, and is said to be the first film to come from the partnership that Paramount Animation and Nickelodeon Animation made with Smurfs license holders LAFIG Belgium and IMPS, which gave the former the ability to produce multiple movies based on the hit franchise.
The Smurfs franchise is no stranger to the world of film, as multiple movies have been made about the characters in the past decade or so, starting with Sony’s 2011 film The Smurfs and its 2013 sequel, with the latest film being the 2017 animated film Smurfs: The Lost Village.

Twisted Metal Poster Shows Anthony Mackie’s New Character
Peacock has announced many of the cast members for the Twisted Metal series from Will Arnett to Stephanie Beatriz, but not much of what the show will look like. While it still doesn’t have a trailer, the company revealed the first poster for the upcoming series based on the video game franchise.
The poster has Anthony Mackie’s character, John Doe, blasting bullets in his vehicle, while Sweet Tooth’s iconic ice cream truck looms in the background. IGN also had the bigger version of the poster, but it only shows more of the car and the sky above. Peacock also noted that a trailer was dropping on April 28.
The show is based on a concept from Deadpool writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, who will executive produce. It will be written by Cobra Kai scribe Michael Jonathan Smith, who will also serve as an EP. Other executive producers include PlayStation Studios’ Hermen Hulst, Qizilbash and Carter Swan of PlayStation Productions, Inspire Entertainment’s Jason Spire, Electric Avenue’s Will Arnett and Marc Forman, and Peter Principato of Artists First. Bad Trip‘s Kitao Sakurai is also set to executive produce and direct a few episodes. Stephanie Beatriz, Thomas Haden Church, Neve Campbell, Will Arnett, and Samoa Joe have been cast so far.
Sony is also allegedly creating another Twisted Metal game and it is likely being positioned to come out around the same time as the Peacock series. After reportedly changing developers, the game is said to be coming from Firesprite, a studio Sony acquired in September 2021. However, this game has yet to be formally revealed.

Bob Odenkirk Joins The Bear Season 2 as Guest Star
According to Variety, Emmy nominee Bob Odenkirk has signed on for a guest-starring role in the upcoming second season of FX’s acclaimed dramedy The Bear. The Better Call Saul star will be joining the show’s returning cast led by Golden Globe winner Jeremy Allen White. The Bear Season 2 is slated to premiere this coming June with ten new episodes.
After wrapping up AMC’s Breaking Bad spin-off in August 2022, Odenkirk has moved on to a brand new TV project in the form of the dark comedy Lucky Hank, which is currently on its sixth episode.
The Bear is executive produced by Christopher Storer, Joanna Calo, Hiro Murai, Nate Matteson, and Josh Senior. The comedy drama stars Jeremy Allen White, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Ayo Edebiri, Abby Elliott, Lionel Boyce, Liza Colón-Zayas, Edwin Lee Gibson and Matty Matheson.
“The series follows Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto (White), a young chef from the fine dining world, who comes home to Chicago to run his family sandwich shop – The Original Beef of Chicagoland – after a heartbreaking death in his family. A world away from what he’s used to, Carmy must balance the soul-crushing realities of small business ownership, his strong-willed and recalcitrant kitchen staff, and his strained familial relationships, all while grappling with the impact of his brother’s suicide,” reads the synopsis.
“The Bear is about food, family, the insanity of the grind, the beauty of sense of urgency, and the steep slippery downsides. As Carmy fights to transform both The Original Beef of Chicagoland and himself, he works alongside a rough-around-the-edges kitchen crew that ultimately reveal themselves as his chosen family.”
For his emotional leading performance in Season 1, White earned a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Comedy Series. The show was also nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Television Series – Musical or Comedy.

The Exorcist Sequel Title Revealed for Ellen Burstyn-Led Horror Movie
During Blumhouse’s recent presentation at the Las Vegas CinemaCon, it was confirmed that Universal Pictures’ upcoming The Exorcist sequel title is officially The Exorcist: Believer. Featuring the long-awaited return of Ellen Burstyn, the film is expected to arrive in theaters on October 13.
The first footage of The Exorcist: Believer was also released during CinemaCon, giving attendees their first look at the supernatural thriller. According to Deadline, the exclusive video centered around a group of young girls who were found in the woods after going missing for three days. It also teased Burstyn’s appearance as Chris MacNeil.
The Exorcist movie serves as a direct sequel to the original horror feature, which was adapted from William Peter Blatty’s novel, with Halloween’s David Gordon Green directing from a screenplay he is co-writing with Scott Teems, Danny McBride, and Peter Sattler.
Oscar-winner Ellen Burstyn is returning to the franchise for the upcoming films, reprising her iconic role as Chris MacNeil over 40 years since the original film debuted in 1973, for which she received an Oscar nomination for Best Actress. Joining Burstyn are Oscar nominee Leslie Odom Jr. (Hamilton, One Night in Miami), Emmy winner Ann Dowd (The Handmaid’s Tale), Raphael Sbarge (Once Upon a Time), and Jennifer Nettles (Harriet), with newcomers Lidya Jewett, and Olivia Marcum.
The sequel is produced by Jason Blum, David Robinson, and James Robinson, with Green, McBride, Couper Samuelson, and Stephanie Allain executive producing. It is a co-production between Blumhouse and Morgan Creek Production, with Ryan Turek overseeing the project on behalf of Blumhouse.
The original The Exorcist centered around the sudden demonic possession of a 12-year-old girl named Regan (Linda Blair) after encountering an old Ouija board. In a last attempt to save Regan, two Roman Catholic priests (Max von Sydow, Jason Miller) are enlisted to conduct an exorcism on her.

And Just Like That Season 2 Teaser Trailer Sets Release Date Window
Warner Bros. Discovery announced on Wednesday that And Just Like That Season 2 of the Sex and the City spin-off series is set to premiere sometime in June 2023.
The news came in the form of a brand new And Just Like That Season 2 teaser trailer for the upcoming series, previewing a new series of adventures for Carrie Bradshaw, who is now dealing with the death of her husband, Mr. Big. The trailer also teases the return of Bradshaw’s former boyfriend Aidan Shaw (played by John Corbett), a character that appeared in the original series and is now set to return.
Also returning in Season 2 are series regulars Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, Kristin Davis, Sara Ramírez, Sarita Choudhury, Nicole Ari Parker, Karen Pittman, Mario Cantone, David Eigenberg, Evan Handler, Christopher Jackson, Niall Cunningham, Cathy Ang, and Alexa Swinton.

The original Sex and the City series was set and shot in New York City. Nominated for over 50 Emmy Awards and winning seven, the HBO show had 94 episodes broadcast over six seasons, premiering on June 6, 1998, and concluding on February 22, 2004. It was followed by a Sex and the City movie in 2008, which was followed by Sex and the City 2 in 2010, both of which were successful at the box office. A Sex and the City 3 was developed in 2016 but ultimately canceled, reportedly due to co-star Kim Cattrall’s unwillingness to revisit the part of Samantha.

What’s Leaving HBO Max at the End of April 2023
All the Lethal Weapon movies are leaving HBO Max at the end of April 2023.
In a matter of days, the Lethal Weapon franchise will leave the streaming service. Directed by Richard Donner, the original action-comedy movie saw Mel Gibson and Danny Glover portraying two Los Angeles police detectives forced to work together despite their contrasting personalities and unconventional police tactics. Fans simply loved the chemistry between Gibson and Glover, and the franchise spawned three sequels and a television series adaptation that aired from 2016 to 2019. An upcoming fifth movie directed by Gibson is expected to start production in 2023.

What’s Leaving Netflix at the End of April 2023
The television adaptation of a legendary horror franchise is leaving Netflix in April 2023.
On Friday, April 28, all three seasons of Ash vs Evil Dead will leave the streaming service’s content. Premiered on October 31, 2015, Ash vs Evil Dead features Bruce Campbell reprising his role as Ash Williams, the legendary chainsaw-wielding hero from Sam Raimi’s beloved Evil Dead trilogy. The story is set 30 years after the events of 1992’s Army of Darkness and sees Ash busy saving the world from a new wave of deadites after inadvertently reading from the Necronomicon Ex-Mortis. The cast includes Ray Santiago as Pablo Simon Bolivar, Dana DeLorenzo as Kelly Maxwell, and Lucy Lawless as Ruby Knowby, among others. The show ran for three seasons on Starz before being canceled. Currently, the franchise Evil Dead is back in theaters with the recently-released Evil Dead Rise.
