What Is a Diddy ‘Freak Off’? Meaning Explained

Many people are wondering about what a “freak off” means when it comes to Sean “Diddy” Combs after his arrest in New York. Damian Williams, the US Attorney for New York’s Southern District, provided details of the unsealed federal indictment against Combs in a September 17 news conference, where he mentioned the phrase “freak off” multiple times. Various lawsuits filed by multiple victims against the hip hop mogul in 2024, including the one made by his former girlfriend Cassie Ventura, reveal what these alleged “Freak Offs” were about.

What would happen at a Diddy “Freak Off”?

A “Freak Off” or “FO” refers to Diddy’s sex parties, which Williams alleges that he would force victims to participate in when he “didn’t get his way.”

He further describes these freak offs, per CNN, as “extended sexual performances” that could “last days at a time” where his victims were forced to engage with male commercial sex workers. It is alleged that Combs would also “often electronically recorded them” and used these recordings as “collateral against the victims.”

Allegedly, these parties often involved drugs, including ketamine, ecstasy, and GHB, in part so that he could keep his victims “obedient and compliant.”

These details about so-called “freak offs” match those in the lawsuit filed by Cassie Ventura in November 2023. The documents describe a “Freak Off” where Combs allegedly directed Ventura to perform sexual acts with an unnamed man as he watched.

The lawsuit also says Combs would suggest to Ventura during certain points of their relationship to have “an FO weekly,” and that these FOs would take place across various international hotels in New York City, Los Angeles, Miami, and more. Ventura’s legal case was settled one day after it was made.

Sean Combs has been charged with racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking. He is expected to appear in court at 11:30 am PT / 2:30 pm ET on September 17.

What happens in the Beneath the Fold trailer?

The Beneath the Fold trailer shows off a bit of the film’s homage to the classic 1957 film 12 Angry Men. Set entirely within the conference room of an upstate New York newspaper struggling during the 2007-09 recession, the film follows a team of local news people who discuss the changing world of media, resources, and more as they clash over a mystery story that involves one of their own.

Beneath the Fold is written and directed by Neil Thomas Kirby, a former upstate New York reporter. The film also stars Jamie Lee, Scott Cohen, Frederick Weller, Jelani Alladin, Nick Dillenburg, Max Garfin, Dorcas Sowunmi, and Chris Lindsay-Abaire.

“The plot involves a team of local news people who cope with the realities of a changing world, waning resources, and a clash of personalities,” reads the film’s official synopsis. “The time and circumstances are detrimental to the staff in all ways but one–unbeknownst to them, their managing editor was involved in a hit-and-run, and their lack of resources gives him hope he can escape justice not only by the police but by his reporters. Never Let Go will be released in United States theaters on September 20, 2024, from Lionsgate. Along with Berry, the movie stars Percy Daggs IV and Anthony B. Jenkins.

Super Friends: The Complete Series Blu-ray Review: 7 Series in Full

Like many children, my first introduction to the world of superheroes was through cartoons. For that reason, I’ll always have a soft spot for Super Friends, as while the series had ended its run before I was born, I watched many reruns as a child. Thanks to the new Super Friends: The Complete Series Blu-ray, I’ve been able to revisit the show, which had seven different iterations and aired for 12 years.

“The greatest of the DC superheroes work together to uphold the good with the help of some young proteges. Produced by Hanna-Barbera, Super Friends is an animated TV series featuring the Justice League of America that ran from 1973 to 1985 on ABC as part of the Saturday morning cartoon lineup,” says the official description.

The coolest part of the Super Friends: The Complete Series Blu-ray set is that it does have every single episode of the cartoon ever made. I had no clue that the show had gone through so many iterations. Getting to see that evolution over 93 episodes is quite fun, as the show originally had a trio of largely forgotten sidekicks in Wendy, Marvin, and Wonder Dog, who were later replaced by the Wonder Twins and Gleek. While the show was never known for its top-notch storytelling, it features a ton of colorful and good-natured action that is just fun to have on in the background and looks great, thanks to the HD transfer.

Having never seen the full run before, there’s also the joy of seeing the wide array of heroes make appearances as the series goes on. I was surprised to see Cyborg and Firestorm join the series’ later run as full-fledged Justice League of America members, and there are a bunch of great guest appearances as well. While the villainous Legion of Doom are the main antagonists, there are also plenty of outside villains, ranging from The Joker to Darkseid and Mr. Mxyzptik. It’s really a great look at how diverse the DC universe has always been, and the Super Friends: The Complete Series Blu-ray is a great way to be reminded of why we fell in love with these characters in the first place.

While there aren’t any bonus features, Warner Bros. did go all out in making sure everything was included. This includes the eight “lost episodes” that were part of the 1980 SuperFriends series that were only aired internationally. In total, you’re getting 1973’s Super Friends, The All-New Super Friends Hour, Challenge of the Superfriends, The World’s Greatest SuperFriends, the full three seasons of SuperFriends, Super Friends: The Legendary Super Powers Show, and The Super Powers Team: Galactic Guardians. It’s a lot of content (3,142 minutes if you wish to count), and there are bound to be some episodes you haven’t seen before if you’re not a diehard fan.

In total, there are 16 discs in the Blu-ray set. Similar to the Succession: The Complete Series set, all the discs are in an Epik Pak tray that just sits inside the case. However, it fills out the full width of the inside, so you don’t feel the discs rattling around when you move them. There’s nothing inside the packaging, although the discs each feature the different show’s logos and make it easy to know what episodes the discs have on them. It’s certainly not deluxe packaging, but there’s been worse in these types of collections.

Super Friends: The Complete Series Blu-ray Review: Final Verdict

Featuring all 93 episodes of the various Super Friends iterations over the years, the Super Friend: The Complete Series Blu-ray lives up to its billing. The show is still quite fun to watch today, even if it was never the peak of superhero storytelling, and is a good introduction to the characters if you have kids. Whether it’s for young ones or for nostalgic reasons, DC fans can’t go wrong with this set.

Netflix‘s new TV and movie release schedule for September 16-22 2024 includes Monsters, His Three Daughters, Twilight of the Gods, and many more.

On September 19, Monsters drops on Netflix. This series being the second season of the American biographical true crime anthology series Monster, created by Ryan Murphy, will dive into the tale of the Menéndez brothers. Then on September 20, His Three Daughters drops on Netflix. Inside the show will premise the story of 3 estranged sisters who come together in New York City to look after their ailing dad. Inside Out 2 has been 2024’s smash hit at the box office as Pixar’s follow-up to Inside Out is just as beloved as the original. Now the Inside Out 2 4K SteelBook is available, giving fans the best way to pick up the animated film.

“Disney and Pixar’s Inside Out 2 returns to the mind of newly minted teenager Riley just as headquarters is disrupted by something entirely unexpected: new Emotions! Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear, and Disgust aren’t sure how to feel when Anxiety and friends show up,” says the description.

What is there new to say about the highest-grossing animated movie of all time? As you likely already know, it’s pretty fantastic! While the first film was relatable in how it went over emotions and how children process the world, the sequel dives deep into mental health and the complications that being a teenager brings. We all deal with anxiety in varying degrees and Inside Out 2 does a phenomenal job of showing that — and more importantly, how we can live with those feelings inside us.

While Pixar’s animation is top-notch, and the film looks incredible in 4K with its colorful characters and world really vibrantly popping off the screen, a lot of additional credit has to go to the voice actors. Amy Poehler, Phyllis Smith, and Lewis Black are still phenomenal as Joy, Sadness, and Anger, but Maya Hawke’s Anxiety and Ayo Edebiri’s Envy match their energy and are just as fun to watch. A special shootout also has to be given to Paul Walter Hauser‘s Embarrassment, though, as he barely speaks but is still such a highlight.

One of the biggest reasons to pick up the Inside Out 2 4K SteelBook is, of course, the superb packaging. This is one of the cutest SteelBooks I’ve seen, as the front features some wonderful artwork showing all nine emotions. There’s a gloss on the characters, so it looks even better in person. Meanwhile, the back features a silhouette of RIley’s face with all the emotions coexisting within her. The inside also features artwork of Joy and Sadness looking in amazement at all of Riley’s memories.

Inside Out 2 comes with a good amount of bonus features as it has 20 minutes of really well-done featurettes. The first, called “New Emotions,” is an 11-minute video featuring the star-studded cast and crew talking about the additions of Anxiety and the other new characters. The other is called “Unlocking The Vault,” which is a nine-minute look at the vault scene and the unique animation styles that it uses. Additionally, there are 24 minutes of deleted scenes (in the form of concept art and animatics). What’s really nice about them is that director Kelsey Mann talks you through the idea of them before they’re shown and why the ideas ultimately didn’t make the film. It’s a great way to present it, and the extra context adds a lot.

Inside Out 2 4K SteelBook Review: Final Verdict

Featuring over 40 minutes of great bonus content and a gorgeous case, the Inside Out 2 4K SteelBook is an easy recommendation to Pixar fans. As everyone already knows, the sequel itself is a fantastic film, and this is a great way to display your love for the Inside Out franchise.

When is the A Carpenter’s Prayer streaming release date?

A Carpenter’s Prayer will release on all major streaming services for both rental and purchase beginning on September 24, 2024.

The movie stars Stephen Baldwin (The Usual Suspects), Bethany Anne Lind (Ozark), and Reno Reyes (The Walking Dead). The movie is written and directed by Matt Webb, who also produces the film alongside Lance Clark. The film follows the story of a pastor and his family who are trying to build a new church in 1970s rural Michigan.

Salem’s Lot director Gary Dauberman has opened up about Stephen King‘s important role in getting the upcoming supernatural horror movie released, after two years of enduring multiple release delays. The film is currently scheduled to start streaming on October 3, exclusively on Max.

“Author Ben Mears returns to his childhood home of Jerusalem’s Lot in search of inspiration for his next book only to discover his hometown is being preyed upon by a bloodthirsty vampire,” reads the Max original movie’s official synopsis.

What did the Salem’s Lot director say about Stephen King’s support?

During a recent interview with Total Film, Dauberman has expressed his gratitude towards King, whose vocal support towards the release of Salem’s Lot has been very helpful in preventing the film from getting officially shelved. Last year, King took to social media to praise Dauberman’s adaptation, while also calling out Warner Bros. for holding it back.

“I’m extremely thankful for Steve’s support,” Dauberman said. “Let’s just say it provided some shock support for some of the more bumpy portions of this journey and leave it at that.”

The Salem’s Lot movie is written and directed by Dauberman, who previously penned the screenplay for 2017’s IT and 2019’s IT: Chapter Two. The Rings of Power Season 2 Viewership Is Down, Still Prime Video’s Most Popular

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Season 2 viewership numbers have been released by Amazon, and the series continues to be one of the most popular shows on Prime Video.

What is The Rings of Power Season 2 viewership?

In an internal memo released to staff this week according to a report from Deadline, the latest season of Amazon’s The Lord of the Rings show has accrued 40 million viewers over its first four episodes. The new season is not only the number one show on Prime Video globally, but is also one of Prime Video’s top five seasons of television all-time on the platform through its first 11 days.

“We’ve seen an impressive amount of our Rings of Power customers coming from outside of the U.S., which is a testament to the show’s resonance with global audiences and the remarkable growth of Prime Video customers worldwide,” the memo reads.

Despite the large success of the show, the show does seem to be down overall in terms of viewers. According to data from Samba TV, viewership for the Season 2 premiere of the series was down around 50% during its first weekend. The Season 1 premiere of the show also saw 25 million people tune in for its first day, and eclipsed the 40 million mark of the second season a bit sooner.

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Season 2 features an ensemble cast led by Robert Aramayo as Elrond, Morfydd Clark as Galadriel, Maxim Baldry as Isildur, Ismael Cruz Córdova as the Silvan elf Arondir, Charles Edwards as elven smith Celebrimbor, Sophia Nomvete as dwarven princess Disa, Charlie Vickers as Sauron, Cynthia Addai-Robinson as Miriel, Ema Horvath as Eärien, and more.

We will finally know where in the world Carmen Sandiego is. Announced with a new trailer, the upcoming Carmen Sandiego game lets players control the titular character.

What is the new Carmen Sandiego game?

The new Carmen Sandiego game is a single player puzzle adventure game by Gameloft and HarperCollins Productions. While it resembles the look of the recent Netflix animated series, it will be based on the original 1980’s edutainment games. However, instead of being tasked to find the thief, you will play as them.

“The shift from being the pursuer to being Carmen herself offers a fresh take on the gameplay, allowing players to fully engage with her world of espionage and globe-trotting adventure,” says the game’s publisher in an IGN interview. “The other character you see at the start of the trailer is ‘Player’ from the Netflix Series, who is also a reference to the unseen live-action figure from the 1994 animated series Where on Earth Is Carmen Sandiego? Player now serves as Carmen’s sidekick. This means you experience the game entirely from Carmen’s perspective, with Player assisting you in navigating missions, solving puzzles, and outsmarting VILE operatives.”

Along with the single player campaign mode will be a classic mode called The Acme Files. Details on the mode are scarce, but the team says it is “a heartfelt tribute to the Carmen Sandiego games of the ’80s.” Easter Eggs for both the original games, and the Netflix series will be scattered across the game for players to find.

The Carmen Sandiego game will launch on Netflix in Q1 2025. It will launch within the same quarter for PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch.

Those craving more Carmen Sandiego content can check out the Netflix animated series. The fourth and final season released back in 2021 with eight episodes. Gina Rodriquez voices the titular character with Finn Wolfhard, Kari Wahlgren, Rafael Petardi, Bernardo de Paula, and Charlet Chung lending their voices to the rest of the cast.

On September 9, DORA Season 2 drops on Paramount Plus. This animated series is created by Valerie Walsh and Chris Gifford. The story follows Dora and her best friend, Boots the Monkey, as they encounter new challenges and obstacles while exploring breathtaking and fantastical areas.

Then, on September 15, Season 2 of Tulsa King will be available on Paramount Plus. The new season will follow Dwight Manfredi’s arrest, as his crew attempts to expand their empire in Tulsa while facing threats from new adversaries vying for control of the territory. The season will also address the unresolved cliffhangers from the first season.

Sylvester Stallone stars in Tulsa King alongside a supporting cast comprised of Martin Starr, Jay Will, Max Casella, Vincent Piazza, Garrett Hedlund, and Dana Delany. Taylor Sheridan, best known for his work on projects like Sicario, Wind River, and Yellowstone is the series creator.

However, the ‘Black National Anthem’ before the start of the match has drawn the attention and criticism of many. Also known as ‘Lift Every Voice and Sing,’ it has become a tradition for the NFL to play before every game. So, what is the Black National Anthem?

Singer Tasha Cobbs Leonard performed ‘Lift Every Voice and Sing’ before the start of the Chiefs and Ravens game.

The official account of the Arrowhead Stadium on X (formerly Twitter), announced the same a day before. Expressing her joy and excitement to sing the song known as the ‘Black National Anthem,’ Cobbs took to Instagram. She wrote, ”I’m beyond excited to kick off the NFL season with a powerful live performance of ‘Lift Every Voice and Sing’ at the Chiefs vs. Ravens game in Kansas City! This will be a night to remember—football, music, and an electric atmosphere!”

However, Fox News reported that Cobbs’ performance was subjected to immense criticism online. The song ‘Lift Every Voice and Sing’ was adopted by the NFL to be performed before every game in 2020. This was after George Floyd’s murder sparked rage and numerous protests in the country.

According to TIME, the title ‘Black National Anthem’ was allotted to the song. It was penned by James Weldon Johnson for the 16th US President Abraham Lincoln on his birthday as a poem. However, soon ‘Lift Every Voice and Sing’ transformed from a poem to an anthem symbolizing struggle and hope for the Black people of the US.

As per the NFL’s official website, the song was added to educate the masses about its historical impact. It is also “a celebration of faith and hope.” Moreover, former football star Troy Vincent elaborated the Black National Anthem’s relevance. He stated, “It has encouraged generations of Black people that God will lead us to the promises of life, liberty and pursuit of happiness. It’s as pertinent in today’s environment as it was when it was written.”

Eight contestants were eliminated in over the six episodes in Outcast Season 2 Part 1.

On September 4, Netflix unveiled the first part of Outlast Season 2, featuring the initial six episodes. This exciting premiere introduced 16 fresh survivalists, who were split into four teams named Alpha, Charlie, Delta, and Bravo.

• Tonia (Alpha Team): The chilly weather became too much to handle, forcing her to quit.
• Tre (Alpha Team): Slipped away quietly, stashing the team’s supplies before he took off without a flare.
• Emily (Bravo Team): Tried to check out a nearby island but had to turn back because of the cold, exhaustion, and rough currents.
• Bri (Bravo Team): Left due to health worries from bad food and water.

Who will win Outlast Season 2?

We can assume, the potential winners may include members of the Delta Team, specifically Eric, Brendon, Tina, Joseph, and Joey, who should be closely monitored.

In Outlast Season 2, there are still eight contestants left, and it looks like Delta Team is in a strong position to take the win. But one cannot count the Bravo Team out just yet. Only if Drew can get the boat back, they might just turn things around and boost their chances of survival.

However, the game can be pretty wild, with teams possibly splitting up or forming new alliances. Hence, there’s still a chance Delta might break apart to chase personal benefits, leaving the final result up in the air until the very end.

Caddo Lake Trailer Sets Release Date for Dylan O’Brien Mystery Movie

Max has released the official Caddo Lake trailer for its newest mystery thriller movie, which hails from producer M. Night Shyamalan.

“When an eight-year-old girl mysteriously vanishes, a series of past deaths and disappearances start to link together, forever altering a broken family’s history,” reads the film’s official synopsis.

When is the Caddo Lake release date?

Caddo Lake is scheduled to make its debut on Thursday, October 10, exclusively on Max. The film will be led by Dylan O’Brien (Maze Runner, Love and Monsters), Eliza Scanlen (Little Women), Diana Hopper (Goliath), Caroline Falk (Caroline), and Sam Hennings (Four Good Days), with Eric Lange (Escape at Dannemora) and Lauren Ambrose (Six Feet Under).

It is written and directed by Celine Held and Logan George, who shot the film in late 2021 and 2022 in and around Karnak, Texas. They were inspired to create the film after coming across a photograph of the real Caddo Lake online, which led them to visit the cypress forest many times. The film is produced by Ashwin Rajan, Kara Durrett and Josh Godfrey. Executive producers are Kimberly Steward, Harrison Huffman, and Will Greenfield. It is a production by New Line Cinema and Blinding Edge Pictures.

Roxanne Perez defended her NXT Women’s Championship against Jaida Parker in a singles match. Parker earned her shot by winning the No Mercy six-woman Gauntlet Eliminator match on the August 13th WWE NXT episode. The match featured Wren Sinclair, Adriana Rizzo, Sol Ruca, Jaida Parker, Kendal Grey and Brinley Reece. Jaida Parker secured the win, earning herself a chance to compete against Perez at WWE NXT No Mercy.

At WWE NXT No Mercy, both women delivered stellar performances. Despite Parker’s strong effort, she fell short against Roxanne Perez. The latter claimed victory by executing her signature Pop Rocks move on the barricade and then delivering another inside the ring.
