Disney Plus‘s new TV and movie releases for January 8-14 2024 include Marvel Studios’ Echo and a new episode of Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 1.
On January 9, Marvel Studios’ Echo hits Disney Plus. This will be the first Disney Plus Marvel project to drop all of its episodes at once and will also be the first TV-MA Marvel Studios project. The show will also drop on Hulu. The story is set after the events of Hawkeye and follows Maya Lopez, Kingpin’s adoptive niece who travels back to her hometown in Oklahoma, where she comes to terms with her past and reconciles with her Native American heritage all the while being pursued by Kingpin and his men for deserting them.
Echo is also the first Marvel project to fall under the Marvel Spotlight banner, meaning viewers do not need to have seen Hawkeye or any previous MCU projects to understand the story. Daredevil will also make an appearance in the series, marking his third MCU appearance following Spider-Man: No Way Home and She-Hulk: Attorney at Law.
Then on January 10, viewers can watch a new episode of Percy Jackson and the Olympians titled “A God Buys Us Cheeseburgers” on Disney Plus.
Other releases on Disney Plus during this week include Hamster & Gretel (S1, 3 episodes), Kiya & the Kimoja Heroes (S1, 12 episodes), BTS Monuments: Beyond the Star – Episodes 7 and 8, and new episodes of Bluey Season 3.
